What does radical compassion look like?

It looks like volunteers packing groceries and delivering meals, neighbors being met with dignity, and a community coming together to ensure everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food.

Last month at our Luncheon of Hope, we premiered this new video that tells the story of Nourish Up and the compassion that drives our mission every day.

We invite you to take a few minutes to learn more about our neighbors, our work, and our vision for a community that accepts no excuses for our neighbors going hungry.

June Volunteer Opportunities

There are so many ways to serve our neighbors, and there’s a place for you to make an impact this month.

Volunteer opportunities include:
• Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver
• Grocery Home Delivery Driver
• Grocery Home Delivery Loader
• Grocery Personal Shopper
• Harvest Haul Warehouse Help

Right now, our greatest needs are Meals on Wheels Delivery Drivers and Grocery Home Delivery Drivers. These volunteers do more than deliver food, they bring care, connection, and consistency to neighbors who may not otherwise have access.

We can’t nourish our neighbors without neighbors like you. Thank you.

Just in time for summer, our friends at Midrex Technologies, Inc. helped stock pantry shelves with a peanut butter and jelly food drive benefiting Nourish Up!

Together, Midrex employees collected an incredible 1,091 pounds of food to support neighbors across Mecklenburg County.

With more than one-third of the neighbors we serve being children, donations like these help ensure families have access to the groceries they need during the summer months and beyond.

Thank you, Midrex, for helping keep pantry shelves stocked and making a meaningful difference for local families.
