Each weekday morning, before Nourish Up volunteer drivers head out to deliver Meals on Wheels across Mecklenburg County, something special is happening inside the Hunger Hub.
Our culinary team is already hard at work preparing nutritious meals that will soon be delivered to our neighbors, bringing nourishment, care, connection, and compassion.
This is the Home Court Kitchen, presented by the Charlotte Hornets.
As the final ingredient of the Hunger Hub, it allows Nourish Up to thoughtfully prepare meals on-site, develop nutritious menus, and grow alongside the needs of our community.
And we're already seeing the impact.
In just the first few weeks, we've prepared and delivered more than 10,000 meals from the Home Court Kitchen.
Thousands of meals.
Thousands of friendly visits.
Thousands of reminders that our neighbors are not alone.
This feels like home. And it's just the beginning.
