Our 2026 Safety Camp is in the books!
On Day 1 the campers explored a wide range of important safety topics—from bike/helmet safety, to learning how to safely evacuate during a house fire, train track hazards, practicing calming breathing techniques, personal safety, and water safety.
Later that day North Memorial Air Care landed their helicopter and gave the campers a tour. Thank you to the air care team Jessica, Michael, and Analisa!
We wrapped up the day with an exciting reptile experience from Snake Discovery. The kids even got a chance to take a photo with a giant snake named Superman!
Day 2 was filled with fun and learning about internet safety, electrical power/transformer safety, search and rescue dogs, how to properly call 911, building an at-home emergency kit, why seat belts are so important, responsible pet ownership, and more.
Towards the end of the day, we did some face painting, watched a 3D machine create some cool things, watched a BMX Bike Jump Show, and participated in a graduation ceremony.
A huge “Thank You" to our camp counselors, volunteers, presenters, and those who donated to help make this camp possible - we certainly couldn't do this without you!
