AI Made Simple - AI Tools You Can Start Using Today

Curious about AI but not sure where to begin? This hands-on session introduces practical, easy-to-use AI tools that can help with everyday tasks such as writing emails, planning trips, brainstorming ideas, organizing information, learning new topics, and creating images. Whether you're a student, small business owner, job seeker, retiree, educator, or simply interested in technology, you'll leave with simple ways to start using AI immediately.

Join us at Selover Public Library for the second session of our four-part adult AI series. This one-hour program will provide an easy-to-understand introduction to AI and explore how it is beginning to affect the tools, services, and experiences we encounter every day.

📚Our theme for Homeschool Book Club today was "I recommend this book!"📚

Parents and students started out with an icebreaker sharing answers about what we like to read, where we like to read, what book character could be our best friend, etc. Students shared about some of their favorite books and then participated in a word puzzle with a secret message and a paper folding puzzle that eventually turned into a leaf design. The students are doing a great job of creating ways to represent the books they are sharing about - we can't wait until next time!

We were happy to host an unofficial "Officially Speaking" event last night, October 15, when we were joined by the nine members of the AmeriCorps crew currently working at Flying Squirrel Nature Preserve. These young adult volunteers are the result of an application submitted by the Morrow County Park District to AmeriCorps. As part of their overall 10-month commitment to AmeriCorps, they are spending six weeks doing a variety of small projects at the park, including trail building and maintenance, bridge construction, and painting. They're also helping out at the Cardington Food Pantry.

During last night's event, the group members introduced themselves to local community members, talked about themselves and their work for AmeriCorps, and answered a lot of questions. Thank you all for taking time to join us, and for the great information about AmeriCorps! (And thank you, Chris, for the great snacks!)
