Lincoln Park Community Services (LPCS) is comprehensive social service agency serving individuals facing homelessness and poverty. With facilities in Lincoln Park and Old Town neighborhoods in Chicago, LPCS has been providing shelter, wrap-around services, and other basic needs to our most vulnerable neighbors for over 37 years. Today, LPCS provides interim housing, meals, and a targeted array of social services to more than 450 people each year.

Please welcome Alexander Camp to the LPCS Associate Board!

As a journalist, he spent time in shelters, meeting residents and hearing their stories. That experience had a lasting effect on his life and, after seeing a post from a colleague about LPCS, he joined the Associate Board.

"Being an Associate Board member at LPCS provides me the motivation and purpose to act on that personal mission statement to be of service to my fellow citizen."

🌭The 5th Annual Old Town Hot Dog Eating Contest took place on June 24 with all proceeds going towards Lincoln Park Community Services! Over the years, this event has raised over $5,000 for LPCS programs through donations and sales from a specialty hotdog themed shirt.

For organizer Tom Murphy and his friends, "this is the highlight of the summer: having fun with friends for a great cause!"

LPCS had the privilege of welcoming a group of students from University of Michigan-Flint this past week! They spent the week volunteering at our 1521 N Sedgwick and 600 W Fullerton locations by preparing and serving lunches, organizing donations, assisting with Drop-In, leading classes, and beautifying the facility and neighborhood.

As part of an Alternative Summer Vacation program, students across all majors and grades are able to sign up to serve different communities. They then can take the knowledge they learned and apply it to their current and future communities.
