📈 Greek tourism continues its strong momentum in 2026! 🇬🇷

International arrivals jumped by 15.4% in the first half of 2026, reaching 13.49 million, while travel receipts climbed to €8.8 billion.

🇺🇸 The U.S. market stands out: Receipts increased by 10.8% to €796.9 million, a strong sign of the growing value of the U.S. market for Greek tourism.

🍂 Come September, Greece is still calling.

Take one last dive in the Cyclades. Wander through Athens. Catch live music under the open sky. Watch a yacht regatta in Spetses.

Με βαθιά συγκίνηση ολοκληρώνεται ένας κύκλος γεμάτος εμπειρίες, ανθρώπινες στιγμές και αμέτρητες αναμνήσεις από τη θητεία μας στο Γενικό Προξενείο της Ελλάδας στο Σικάγο.

Στα πέντε αυτά χρόνια είχαμε την τιμή να υπηρετήσουμε τους Έλληνες πολίτες και την ομογένεια, προσφέροντας καθημερινά τις υπηρεσίες μας με αίσθημα ευθύνης και αγάπης για τον Ελληνισμό. Ταξιδέψαμε σε κάθε μία από τις 12 πολιτείες της προξενικής μας αρμοδιότητας, φτάνοντας κοντά σε κοινότητες, οικογένειες και ανθρώπους που κρατούν ζωντανή την ελληνική παρουσία στην Αμερική.

Επισκεφθήκαμε ελληνικές έδρες, οργανισμούς, σχολεία, επιχειρήσεις, γνωρίσαμε δημιουργικούς ανθρώπους που με το έργο και το όραμά τους τιμούν την Ελλάδα. Συνεορτάσαμε στις ενορίες της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Σικάγου και Ντιτρόιτ, συμμετείχαμε στα φεστιβάλ των κοινοτήτων και μοιραστήκαμε στιγμές χαράς, πίστης και παράδοσης.

Απολαύσαμε τον ελληνικό πολιτισμό μέσα από εκδηλώσεις τέχνης, μουσικής, ιστορίας και δημιουργίας. Είχαμε τη χαρά να γνωρίσουμε νέες γενιές Ελλήνων και να βοηθήσουμε ανθρώπους να αποκτήσουν την ελληνική υπηκοότητα, ενισχύοντας τον δεσμό τους με την Ελλάδα.

Φεύγουμε με ευγνωμοσύνη και υπερηφάνεια για όλους όσοι μας αγκάλιασαν και μας έκαναν να νιώσουμε μέλη μιας μεγάλης οικογένειας.

Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στους Σεβασμιωτάτους Μητροπολίτες, στις ενορίες, στους ιερείς, στους εκπαιδευτικούς, τους ομογενείς, τους εκπροσώπους των ελληνικών κοινοτήτων, τους φίλους της Ελλάδας και, πάνω απ’ όλα, στους συναδέλφους του Γενικού Προξενείου Σικάγου για την αφοσίωση, τη συνεργασία και την αδιάκοπη προσπάθειά τους.

Οι δρόμοι που διασχίσαμε, οι άνθρωποι που γνωρίσαμε και οι στιγμές που μοιραστήκαμε θα παραμείνουν για πάντα στην καρδιά μας.

Οι Έλληνες πολίτες που διαμένουν στο εξωτερικό και επιθυμούν να ασκήσουν το εκλογικό τους δικαίωμα στις επόμενες εθνικές εκλογές μπορούν να υποβάλουν εύκολα και γρήγορα αίτηση για εγγραφή στον Ειδικό Εκλογικό Κατάλογο Εξωτερικού μέσω της πλατφόρμας https://apodimoi.ypes.gov.gr.

Η σύνδεση μπορεί να γίνει είτε με τους προσωπικούς κωδικούς ΑΑΔΕ (Taxisnet) είτε μέσω ταυτοποίησης με ελληνικό διαβατήριο.

Η διαδικασία διαρκεί μόνο λίγα λεπτά και μπορείτε να επιλέξετε να ψηφίσετε είτε με επιστολική ψήφο είτε με φυσική παρουσία.

🇬🇷 🏆 Congratulations to the Greek Men’s National Water Polo Team on winning the gold medal at the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup in Sydney!

This historic achievement, the first World Cup title in the history of Greek men’s water polo, is a proud moment for Greece and for Hellenism around the world.
