About a year ago, Tracy Early was sitting in one of the Healing Center’s cubicles, signing in a new guest who had questions about what the Healing Center offered. Tracy walked her through our self-sufficiency services and The Marketplace, and as he spoke she grew quiet and began to cry.
“I asked if she was okay,” Tracy says, “and she said, ‘Yeah... I just didn’t know that a place like this existed. I’m so glad I found this place. God bless you all.’”
“That was a powerful moment for her and for me,” he says. “It reminded me of what God is truly doing at the Healing Center: meeting His people where they are and meeting their needs.”
Tracy has served at the Healing Center for seven years. He started as a Step One Facilitator, welcoming new guests and guiding them through orientation to all of our services.
He has also served in hospitality, and he recently became the facilitator of the Thrive program, which builds long-term relationships with individuals and families, offering mentoring, group support, career and money coaching, and prayer as they move from crisis to stability to thriving.
Why does he keep coming back? “I love what God is doing at the Healing Center,” Tracy says. “I believe in the mission, and I’ve seen firsthand how it impacts the lives of our guests, volunteers, and staff. I love how the Holy Spirit is working here. I always leave feeling good about the experience.”
