MUCH GRATITUDE to The Stover Family and our 'Friends of Snake Hill' (specifically Eric, Lorelei & Chris) for a wonderful honoring this past weekend (Saturday's 9/19 Hike and Sunday's 9/20 'Celebration of Life') of the late & great neighborhood activist & pioneer Lennie Stover.

Lennie will truly be missed; nevertheless, as a dear friend remarked to a full room at Market Garden Brewpub of friends, family and fellow neighborhood trailblazers all raising a glass in Lennie's honor,

"Lennie came into this world in 1957, but he left it in 2026 a much better place."

Councilwoman Hudson present Lennie's 92-year-old mother along with his sister and daughters a Resolution from City Council recognizing the tremendous efforts Lennie put forth with his time / energy / vision / and work over the years, specifically with Snake Hill, Red Line Greenway, and more.

May his family (some who had come in from Florida and Michigan) return home with full hearts from the immense outpouring of love & admiration from the community for their Lennie ~ and may we all apply a piece of Lennie's principles & tenaciousness as we continue to walk / bike / jog / go about our lives throughout the streets of Cleveland.

Most of all, may we all carry on his curiosity to explore and show love to the off the beaten paths that (as Lennie has shown us) are way more interesting & fun most of the time and deserve to be better known for all to enjoy.

Lennie loved Cleveland, and Cleveland sure loved Lennie Stover. R.I.P., friend 🤍🌳🌲🌿

DATA CENTERS ‼️ HOT TOPIC: City Council is hosting three upcoming public meetings and wants YOUR FEEDBACK!

As noted on the City of Cleveland website, "On July 15, 2026, Cleveland City Council approved a temporary three-month pause on new standalone, principal-use data center projects in the city. The pause gives the City and Cleveland City Council time to evaluate the potential impacts of these facilities and hear directly from residents and stakeholders.

There are several kinds of data centers, including edge, enterprise, colocation, hyperscale, cloud, and crypto. Cleveland currently has zero hyperscale, cloud or crypto, standalone data centers. As demand for data centers continues to grow across the country, the City is evaluating how different types of facilities could affect neighborhoods, infrastructure, natural resources, and quality of life.

Your input will help inform the City’s approach to regulating different types of data centers and the safeguards needed to put residents first and protect Cleveland’s neighborhoods. Please take a few minutes to share your perspective."

🟪 Please note the three separate meeting dates / times / locations below. Also, 'Public Comment Sign-up' is required for two of the meetings.

And if you can't attend in person, there's an online survey City Council has created for you to submit your thoughts, https://www.clevelandohio.gov/city-hall/departments/economic-development/data-centers

IN THE NEWS: Signal Cleveland, "Here’s how you can weigh in on data centers in Cleveland Three public hearings will explore how the city should manage facilities that can place heavy demands on electricity, water and neighborhoods," https://signalcleveland.org/clevelands-data-center-debate-comes-to-three-public-hearings/
