We are excited to welcome Blake Whitt as the new head coach of the Clinton Dragons baseball program!
Blake is a former professional baseball player and coach with a lifelong passion for developing athletes and building competitive programs. He attended South Doyle High School, where he played both baseball and football. Following high school, he played collegiate baseball at Hiwassee College before continuing his playing career professionally with the Southern Illinois Miners in the Frontier League. His experience at both the collegiate and professional levels laid the foundation for a coaching career centered on leadership, discipline, and player development.
Blake has spent several years coaching high school baseball, including stops at Clinton High School and Oak Ridge High School. He is currently coaching with the well-known travel organization Wow Factor.
Known for his ability to connect with players and elevate team performance, Blake specializes in skill development, game strategy, strength and conditioning, and mentorship. His coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, accountability, and creating an environment where athletes can succeed both on the field and in the classroom. He is committed to helping players reach their full potential.
Blake is a Clinton resident and lives with his wife, Keela, and their two sons, Easton and Rawlings.
He is ready to take on the role of leading the Dragons baseball program while continuing to serve and invest in the Clinton community.
