You spoke and we're listening!
When Colerain Township issued its annual survey, we received dozens of responses. One comment that kept appearing was how much residents love our parks and the desire to do more with them. That’s why we’re putting out the call to better activate the space at Groesbeck Park.
Groesbeck Park – an 11-acre park constructed in 2007 – currently has three (3) baseball fields and restrooms that are open from April 1 to November 1 each year. The park also has roughly 200 parking spaces and adjoins the newly built Fire Station 26.
So the question is clear – how would you better use this space? What kinds of sports, teams, or organizations do you want to see here?
Colerain Township is now accepting formal proposals for a youth sports lease that makes sense in this space. Not only will this bring opportunities to expand recreational programs locally, but it has the possibility to help support maintenance of other parks and public spaces residents can continue to enjoy.
All proposals will be considered by the Colerain Township Board of Trustees. Proposals will be evaluated based on community benefit, public access, maintenance responsibilities, and how it enhances recreational opportunities for Colerain Township residents.
