Today, we celebrate the hardworking men and women whose dedication keeps our communities strong and our state moving forward.

Many of the workplace protections we value today, from minimum wage laws and workplace safety standards to the five-day workweek, child labor protections, and the eight-hour workday, are rooted in the labor movement.

To every worker who helps make our state a better place to live, work, and raise a family, thank you!

This afternoon, I attended the unveiling of Washington Township’s new senior transportation vehicle, made possible through 5310 grant funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation!

This new vehicle is a great asset that will help ensure our seniors have reliable transportation to get where they need to go. I’m glad to see this funding used to provide greater access and opportunities for seniors in our community.

Started my morning on a panel at the Northern Chamber Coalition Legislative Day! We had a great discussion covering a wide range of issues, including property taxes, school funding, data centers and utilities, community development, and more.
