Storm Relief for South Side Residents ❗

The Reeb Center is offering emergency financial assistance for neighbors impacted by the August storms.

The application link will be posted on our website www.reebcenter.org starting at 9am on 9/8. Applications will be open September 8th–10th or until we reach capacity.

Please share and help us spread the word to South Side neighbors who may need support. 💙

Eight months of 2026 complete ✅ Summer is wrapping up! ☀️

Some highlights…

📚- Some of our team was able to assist United Way of Central Ohio with their annual “Stuff the Backpack” volunteer event! We loved being able to be apart of such an amazing event helping to make sure 8000 kiddos have what they need to start the school year off strong! Thank you for having us!

👏🏽- As most of you know, our team is pretty small here at Reeb. We are lucky to have such an amazing team that is constantly celebrating the highs and lows together. From birthdays to baby showers- we are always supporting one another just as much as we support our South Side Neighbors!

⛈️- Although the storm itself is not a very positive highlight, the strength and resilience of the South Side is! A big shout out to our Mid Ohio Food Collective team & Reeb Staff for figuring out a way to continue to serve food during the power outage here in the building. Our neighbors needs are always a priority and we will continue to support in the ways we can!

Seven months of 2026 complete✅ Can summer slow down!? 🌻

Some Highlights…

🍅- The Fruit and Flowers Farm over on Reeb Ave has slowly been getting a remodel thanks to The Garden District! Some fruits and veggies have been planted. The programming team loves to take walks over and see the progress! Next time you are in the neighborhood- stop by and see for yourself!

👟- Thank you Designer Shoe Warehouse GCC DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse for coming to volunteer at Reeb! The DSW team helped us sort through donations, pull weeds around the building, and cleaned up the neighborhood- 23 bags of trash were collected! We appreciate all their time and efforts to support the South Side!

🛝- Our daycare, Columbus Early Learning, had a remodel of their playground thanks to Columbus Blue Jackets ! The slide has been tested- and approved by our Program Manger!

July went by in a flash! Looking forward to August! ☀️

Six months of 2026 complete ✅ Summer is in full swing over here! ☀️

Some highlights…

💫- We hosted so many events at Reeb this June! Our annual Summer Kickoff with our amazing partners, a summer Resource Pop-up with the Franklin County , Franklin County JFS, and other wonderful partners, a re-entry focused job fair with Franklin County Office of Justice Policy & Programs, and many more fun community resource centered events!

🍩- Shout out to all the dads! We got to celebrate Father’s Day by offering donuts, juice, coloring pages for the kiddos and a raffle to celebrate the south side dads!

🌟- Toward the end of the month we got to welcome in our new Executive Director, Karim Jackson ! Welcome to the Reeb Family- we are excited for this new chapter for Reeb. If you see Karim around make sure to give him a warm welcome!

June was jammed packed! We are looking forward to what July has in store!

What a way to kick off summer at Reeb!

This week was packed with connection, community, and celebration on the South Side. We started Monday with our Summer Kickoff celebration, welcomed neighbors and partners to our Drop-In Resource Fair on Thursday, and wrapped up the week with Donuts with Dads on Friday to celebrate Father's Day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared resources, and helped make this week so special. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer brings!

Five months of 2026 complete ✅ Springing into June with nothing but gratitude 🌷

Some Highlights…

🎓- Our Cristo Rey students finished out their internship with us. We have had such an amazing year with both Jaiden and Mary- thank you for all of your hard work this year.

Congratulations to our senior, Mary, on graduating with honors!! We are so proud of you!

💐- As previously highlighted, we hosted our annual Mother’s Day brunch serving 70 amazing ladies! The day was filled with laughter, love, and light!

💙- We also hosted our annual Rooted in Reeb fundraiser! Coming together to share our mission with such amazing individuals!

We are able to serve our community because of all of our wonderful sponsors, partners, staff, & volunteers! Your generosity, dedication, and compassion create opportunities, provide hope, and strengthen the lives of those we serve.

We are deeply grateful for your commitment and support. Together, we are able to turn challenges into possibilities and make a lasting impact!
