Ohio Association for Adult and Continuing Education OAACE also makes sure that these groups are receive their fair share of funding and support from the local, state and the federal governments.

The Ohio Association for Adult and Continuing Education works hard to support teachers, administrators, counselors, volunteers, instructional aides, training directors, and other personnel dedicated to adult and continuing education. OAACE works with the listed service groups to ensure that their staffs and volunteers receive the necessary financial and technical support to carry out their roles in the community. Bobbi Sin, Sara Betts, and Sarah Quick will be Ohio’s Adult Education Advocates for Flood The Hill! Flood the Hill takes place in Washington D.C.

On September 16-17 these advocates will be on the Hill to connect with legislative offices, brief lawmakers on how adult education strengthens the workforce, and recognize the champions who make our work possible.

This week, UVCC is celebrating Adult Education & Family Literacy Week! 📚

Did you know, last program year, UVCC Aspire & Diploma Pathways served 347 students, who dedicated more than 17,000 hours to building skills, earning credentials and preparing for their next steps?

In addition,
▪️58 students earned a High School Equivalency or Diploma 🎓
▪️21 students completed Workforce Development and earned their CNA credential 🩺

We’re proud to support adults as they work toward their goals, whether that’s earning a diploma, entering the workforce, learning English or continuing their education.
