Never Forget. 🇺🇸
On September 11, 2001, our nation changed forever. Today, we remember the thousands of lives lost, the families and loved ones left behind, and the pain that swept across our country in the wake of an unimaginable tragedy.
In the days and months that followed, first responders, FEMA, Laborers, and other construction trades turned that pain into action, answering the call to Ground Zero to help clear the wreckage, recover what they could, and begin rebuilding what had been destroyed.
We now know more about the price they paid. The dust, smoke, and debris at Ground Zero exposed workers to hazardous contaminants. In the years since, thousands of responders and recovery workers have faced serious health consequences from that exposure.
Today, we remember the lives lost and honor the many who answered the call. Their courage, sacrifice, bravery, and action will always be part of the story of September 11.
