We have (18) yearbooks available for purchase!! Students can come to the table in front of the Media Center during homeroom on Monday, May 18th.

Cost is $65.00 - CASH ONLY!!!

They will be first come, first serve. Please bring exact change!!!!

Today was Field Day for our 6th Graders... and what a day it was!!!!

The kids had a fabulous time playing games, playing in the water, and drinking lemonade!!!

It was the perfect day!!!

8th Graders will have their Field Day tomorrow and 7th Grade will have theirs on Tuesday, May 19th!

A HUGE SHOUT OUT AND THANK YOU TO THE COMER FIRE DEPARTMENT!!!!!

Our 6th Grade students won the "MOST MINUTES READ CHALLENGE" and earned a water day - which was amazingly provided by our local fire department during the 6th Grade Field Day today!!!!

They kids LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Comer Volunteer Fire Dept for not only protecting our community - but for being so awesome!!!!!!

Invitations for Honors Day have been sent home with students today.

Parents may arrive as early as:
➡️ 8:00 a.m. for 7️⃣th Grade
➡️ 10:00 a.m. for 6️⃣th Grade
➡️ 5:00 p.m. for 8️⃣th Grade

‼️ PLEASE NOTE: We are aware that the wrong year (and wrong time on 7th grade invitations) was accidentally printed, and new invitations were re-printed this afternoon. So, if your child did not receive the correctly printed one today, they will receive it in the morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Otherwise, all remaining medication will be disposed of as the clinic does not store medications over the summer.

Please help us to congratulate our TEACHER OF THE YEAR, Mrs. Katie Layne and our SUPPORT PERSON OF THE YEAR, Mrs. Gwen Higdon.

Mrs. Layne is our school's Special Education Coordinator.

Mrs. Higdon is our Media Center ParaProfessional.

Both of these fabulous ladies are SO VERY DESERVING of these honors!!! They have both contributed so much time, energy, creativity, and compassion to all of our Mustangs AND Faculty & Staff!!!

Friday was our HUNKER DOWN FOR MILESTONES Pep Rally to kick off our End of Year Testing!!!

We had 3 very special guests to come and join us... members of the UGA PAINTLINE!!!! They were AMAZING!!!! They brought their specialty "painters" with them... who both just happen to be former Mustangs and graduates of Madison County School District - GA!!! It was so wonderful to see Mary & Blakely!!!!

Students who achieved major growth on their MAP tests were able to pie a teacher in the face... and they did NOT go easy on us!!! But it just goes to show that MCMS teachers are willing to go to big lengths to encourage our kids to do well!!!!

And an even bigger bonus... Dr. Turner let the student winners of the Pep Rally games tape him up to the wall. I mean... he "stuck around" for their victory!!!! Fun was had by all!!!

STUDENTS... we are so very proud of each and every one of you!!! Remember... End of Year tests are just a small measure of how you have done all year!!!! Don't stress... take your time... read / listen carefully, and answer to the best of your ability!!!

YOU GOT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Brian Turner was recognized this past Friday for NATIONAL PRINCIPAL'S DAY... as being a principal who is a "HEAD OF THE REST"!!!! Various posters and over 200 pictures of Dr. Turner's head was placed throughout the building (and they're still up)... To remind him of how he has a great head on his shoulders and he's a "HEAD OF THE REST"!!!! I mean... he even "stuck around" for our EOG kick off Pep Rally on Friday!! 😂🥰😎

Thank you Dr. Turner for all you do for our students, faculty, staff, & community! You truly are ahead of the rest!!!!
