Who remembers as a child, climbing those steps to the magical world inside a bookmobile? Portland Public Library has had a bookmobile for over 13 years?!? Who knew? Bookmobile Manager, "Silly Steve" Weigle has just retired. "Steve was instrumental in launching the program, from selecting the vehicle to coordinating its inaugural schedule and bringing library services into neighborhoods throughout Portland. His vision and commitment helped make the PPL Bookmobile not just a service, but a cherished community presence."
