Did you know? Early ACCESS services are available year-round to support children from birth to age three and their families, even during the summer months and school breaks! ☀️

Learning and development don’t stop when school is out, and neither do Early ACCESS services. Families can continue receiving support to help children grow, learn, and reach important developmental milestones all year long.

This month, we celebrate the dedicated Green Hills AEA speech-language pathologists, speech-language pathology assistants, facilitators, audiologists, audiometrists, and teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing who help students find their voices, build connections, and thrive. Their work creates a lasting impact in the lives of students across our region!

Last week, our Specialized Supervisors had the opportunity to attend the Academy of Law and Leadership.

From networking with special education leaders across the country to mastering the nuances of IEP writing and state policy, it was a week of incredible learning.

Our Specialized Supervisors are excited to share their learning with the team and further enhance the support we offer to our districts!

Did you know that across Green Hills schools, there are nearly 900 English Learners representing 17 different language groups? And that number continues to grow each year!

This National Bilingual/Multilingual Learner Advocacy Month, we celebrate the students, families, and educators who make up our vibrant EL communities and the strengths that multilingualism brings to our schools.

Through our regional EL program, two GHAEA EL teachers currently support 50 students across eight partner districts, helping provide personalized language support and advocacy for multilingual learners. This work is guided and strengthened by our EL consultant, who partners with districts to build systems, support staff, and expand opportunities for students.

As more districts explore multilingual opportunities, we continue to recognize that language and culture are powerful assets – preparing students for success in college, careers, and beyond.

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and the Rising Hope Academy team at SWITCH - Lakin Foundation Training Hub would like to spotlight one of their volunteers, Mrs. Lori Rew!

Lori is a retired teacher and joins the classroom each Friday to spend time with students individually, as they practice and strengthen their reading skills.
