🎨 Some Art Updates from Ms. Tudehope!
The artists are working on finishing their first units in art.

Kindergarten is working on an exploratory unit. The students have explored using paint sticks and printmaking. The kindergartners are also working on cutting skills.

The first graders are working on their line unit. We did wax resist art projects where we drew lines with crayons and painted over them. We are now working on making an owl and we finished day two of the project.

Third grade artists are working on their form unit. In class, the students worked on knowing the difference between 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional. We did 2 dimensional drawings that looked 3 dimensional using a few artists tricks. The artists also started a clay project.

The fourth graders are learning that the art element value means a light tint to a dark shade of one color creates a value scale of that color. They have practiced creating tints and shades of a color using paint.
