Join Keep Newton Beautiful, GWF, friends, and neighbors at Longhorn Steakhouse of Covington at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, for the Newton County Rivers Alive kickoff event. Participants can pick up free T-shirts, supplies, and breakfast (while supplies last). Then volunteers will pick up litter in and around lakes, rivers, and streams across the County. KNB invites you to organize your club, neighbors, church, business, or school groups to participate. Individual participants are also welcome. Children under 12 must be supervised by responsible adults. Everyone is responsible for his/own transportation to and from the park and cleanup sites. Join us on Saturday, September 19 for our 2026 Rivers Alive event! Gather friends and family and help us clean up lakes, rivers, and streams around Newton County. Keep Newton Beautiful will provide free cleanup supplies, breakfast, and t-shirts (while supplies last). We will meet cleanup participants at Longhorn Steakhouse of Covington for breakfast and supply distribution at 9 a.m. After breakfast, teams will head out to cleanup sites to pick up litter in and around waterways. Make plans now to participate in June Cleanups! Join Keep Newton Beautiful (KNB) for the District 3 Community Cleanup with Commissioner Andre Cooper on Saturday, June 27 at Fairview Elementary School.

The cleanup starts at 9 a.m. Pick up free breakfast, t-shirts, and supplies at the KNB pop-up tent and then go out to pick up litter.

Everyone is responsible for his/her own transportation to the park, school, and cleanup sites. KNB will give letters to any participants who need community service hours. See you there!

Join Keep Newton Beautiful this weekend at Denny Dobbs Park at 9AM on Saturday, June 6, for a park cleanup!

Participants can pick up free supplies and breakfast (while supplies last) at the KNB pop-up tent at 9AM.

📣 The Cook Road Convenience Center, located at 10 Cook Road, is now open to Newton County residents with a Convenience Center Hang Tag! Center Hours are Tuesday through Friday, noon - 7pm, and Saturday, 9am to 7pm.

Cook Road is one of seven centers open through the Newton County Solid Waste Authority's Residential User Access program for household trash and recycling.
