The Common App can feel confusing at first, but once you break it down, it’s way more manageable.

Here’s what you’re actually filling out:
✔️ Profile → your background info
✔️ Activities → what you’ve been involved in
✔️ Writing → your personal statement
✔️ Supplements → school-specific questions

Each section plays a different role in telling your story, so it’s not just about filling it out, it’s about being intentional with what you include.

Before school starts and everything gets chaotic again… here’s your sign to get a few things done now 👀

You don’t need to have everything figured out, but doing even 2–3 of these will make a huge difference once fall hits.

Start small, stay consistent, and don’t wait until October panic mode 😅

A lot of students wait because they think they need a finalized college list first - you don’t. Getting started early means way fewer “I should’ve done this sooner” moments.

Start small. Keep it simple. You’ll build momentum as you go.

It’s one of the most common questions students get... and also one of the most stressful.

Here’s the truth: you don’t need to have it all figured out right now.

A major is just your main area of study, and for many students, it changes as they explore new interests.

If you’re heading into junior or senior year, focus less on having the “perfect” answer and more on what actually interests you.
