The Crawford County Foundation was founded in 2001 to help address needs throughout our greater community. Since then, CCF has helped support childcare, scholarships, local nonprofits, school improvements, veteran recognition, foster families, health and wellness projects, and many other community betterment efforts. These projects begin with people who care—people who recognize a need, bring forward an idea, donate, volunteer, or connect others with the resources needed to make something happen. Our mission is simple but powerful: connecting people and organizations to strengthen our community. Together, we can continue creating better tomorrows throughout Crawford County.

Yesterday, the Crawford County Foundation Board had the opportunity to tour Betty's House and see firsthand the difference this special resource is making for local families. 💙

Betty’s House was created to provide much-needed supplies and support for families right here in our community, and CCF is proud to be a partner in helping bring this resource to Crawford County.

There’s something powerful about seeing community generosity put into action. Every room, every shelf, and every resource represents people coming together to make sure local families know they are supported.

Thank you to everyone involved with Betty’s House for welcoming our Board and for the work you continue to do for children and families in Crawford County.

A project created for students can strengthen an entire community. When Cuba’s school track had deteriorated to the point that students could no longer host meets, a local resident approached the Crawford County Foundation with a vision to rebuild it. CCF helped facilitate the Wildcat Field of Pride campaign, bringing the school district and community together to complete the track restoration in 2010. Today, the track supports student athletes while also giving people of all ages a safer, more comfortable place to walk, run, and care for their health. That is the power of community betterment: one project creating benefits for generations.

The Cuba War Memorial began with one family’s desire to honor a brother, and grew into a lasting tribute to generations of local veterans. Delbert and Phil Mullen wanted to commemorate their brother, Clifford T. Mullen, who died following injuries sustained during his second tour in Vietnam. With support from the Crawford County Foundation and members of the community, their vision became a reality. The memorial was dedicated in 2008 and continues to provide a place where residents and visitors can remember those who served and sacrificed for our country. CCF is honored to have played a part in preserving this important piece of Crawford County’s history.

What happens when a community recognizes a need and works together to meet it? All Aboard Learning Center began with a need for safe, dependable childcare and early education opportunities for local families. Through generous donations, determined volunteers, and community partnerships, the Crawford County Foundation helped raise the funds needed to build a 7,500-square-foot childcare center. All Aboard opened its doors in 2004 and is now licensed to serve more than 100 children, from infants through school age. This is what community impact looks like: investing in children, supporting working families, and helping prepare the next generation for success.
