Back in July, Dallas Children's Charities provided a grant to Metrocrest Services (Metrocrest) in the amount of $5,000. Metrocrest specializes in helping individuals, families, and seniors navigate through crisis situations and work to stabilize their lives for a brighter future. Their history, services, and leadership have played a great role in the community. Metrocrest offers a comprehensive bundle of services to address gaps in finances, employment, and nutrition to holistically help end poverty.

The photo was taken in the entry to their extensive Food Pantry located in their new, 48,000 sq.ft. facility in Carrollton that services hundreds of families in need.

Back in July, Dallas Children's Charities provided a grant to Dallas Hearing Foundation (DHF) in the amount of $5,000. DHF links people with hearing loss back to the world of sound by working with children and adults who experience hearing loss in the greater DFW area, across the U.S., and in nations across the globe.

As a longtime recipient of grants from DCC, DHF will put our DCC grant to work to bring the gift of hearing to kids that have been cut-off from the world of sound – a truly life-changing empowerment!

Back in June, thanks to the sponsors of the Dallas Margarita Society (dba Dallas Children's Charities), we were able to provide a grant to Wipe Out Kids Cancer (WOKC) in the amount of $2,500. WOKC mission is to bring comfort, hope and support to kids with cancer and their families while relentlessly pursuing a cure through research.

Wipe Out Kids Cancer provided DCC a $10,000 Run for the Kids Sponsorship for a $2,500 donation to help serve families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis in DFW.

Back in June, thanks to the sponsors of the Dallas Margarita Society (dba Dallas Children's Charities), we were able to provide a grant to Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas (CACNT) in the amount of $3,000. CACNT mission is to empower child abuse victims, their families, and our community through education, healing, and justice.

Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas and their partners are the front-line responders to reports of child sexual abuse in Denton, Wise, and Jack Counties. They are the only non-profit organization that uses a unified approach to provide education, healing and justice to children, families and our community.

A huge thank you to our President Danny Everett and Director Kelechi Nwaeke for delivering such a wonderful gift to CACNT.

Dallas Children’s Charities delivered a new laptop to Missy at Children's Medical Center in Dallas. Missy is an amazing 10-year-old with an infectious smile! She was so happy to receive her new laptop, and she lit up like a lightbulb when she saw it. She will use her new laptop for school, and to watch movies and play games.

We delivered a new laptop computer and accessories to Jesse at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. His family was also on hand to show their appreciation and support. Jesse is a wonderful young man with a tremendously positive attitude! He plans on using his new laptop to stay in touch with friends and to keep entertained over the summer while he is undergoing treatment. Dallas Margarita Society

The Dallas Margarita Society, Inc., (d.b.a. Dallas Children's Charities) was formed in 1977 when a small group of business acquaintances decided to host a holiday party for associates and friends. The Society is a non-profit charitable organization whose goals are twofold.

The first is to provide disadvantaged Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex children with gifts at Christmas time and the second is to help those community organizations that work with underprivileged children throughout the year. The Charity Ball has grown over the years and is now believed to be the largest annual invitation only charity black tie gala in the world, providing gifts for thousands of disadvantaged children each year.

The Dallas Margarita Society achieves its goals by hosting fundraising happy hours throughout the year, an annual golf tournament in early summer and the Charity Ball early in the holiday season. At the Ball, guests are encouraged to bring toys or sponsor gifts with cash. Additionally, sponsors are solicited and through their generosity the Society has donated items such as computers, school supplies, televisions, exercise equipment and scholarships to numerous community organizations.

Over the past 40 years, the community impact generated by the activities and fund raising events of the DMS/DCC has proven, and continues to prove, that by harnessing the charitable spirit of a few friends we can all reach out and truly "lift up" thousands of kids in need.
