Monday, May 25, 7:30am. E. State Street between Bi-State Blvd and N. 6th Street was closed for about an hour this morning due to power lines and a tree down in the roadway.

8:20am. Road is open

May 21, 2026, 2:10am. Sussex Fire Box 74-1, residential structure fire. Delmar, Laurel and Salisbury were dispatched for a structure fire near the intersection of Bi-State Boulevard and Allens Mill Road. First arriving units found a house well involved with fire. Additional Tankers were requested from Gumboro. No injuries. The residents were not at home.

May 10, 2026. 4:24p, Fire Box 74-3, reported residential structure fire, Mar-Lynn Drive. A very busy May 10th continued in Delmar on the Maryland side. Delmar, Salisbury and Hebron fire units responded for a structure fire. Units found smoke from under the residence and extinguished the fire quickly.

May 10, 2026. 11:25a, Rescue Box 74-3, vehicle accident with entrapment. While units were on-scene with the motorcycle fly-out, a second call came in for a vehicle accident with roll-over and entrapment down the street, on Executive Club Drive off Bi-State Boulevard. Units arrived to find a single vehicle accident with an automobile on it's side. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle with struts then removed the front window to get the occupants out.

May 10, 2026. 10:50a, Box 74-1 Motor Vehicle Collision with fly-out, Bi-State Boulevard and E. Walnut Street. Delmar and Salisbury responded for a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. Maryland State Police Trooper 4 transported a patient to UMD Shock/Trauma in Baltimore.

May 11, 2026. Traumatic injury fly-out. A patient arrived at the fire station with a serious injury. After evaluation by the EMS crew, a medevac helicopter was requested. Ladder 74 secured a landing zone down the street from the fire station. Paramedic A-74's crew treated the patient until the arrival of the helicopter. The patient was transferred to LifeNet 6-4 and the patient was flown to MedStar Curtis National Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

May 9, 2026. Burn patient fly-out. While Ladder 74 and Utility 74 were handling a vehicle into a power pole on the Delaware side, a medical call was dispatched by Maryland for a burn patient. Paramedic B-74 and EMS 74 responded. Maryland State Police Trooper 4 helicopter was requested for a fly-out to Hopkins-Bayview Hospital. Ladder 74 was able to clear the accident scene and responded along with Delmar Police to secure a landing zone in the field next to Hardee's, at US-13 and E. Line Road. Engine 74-1 also responded to the landing zone. Delmar Police units provided an es**rt from the scene to the landing zone. The patient was transferred to Medevac Trooper 4 and flown to Bayview in Baltimore.

May 9, 2026. Ladder 74 and Utility 74 responded for a vehicle that struck a power pole, causing the pole to split and sending wires down. There were no injuries. The vehicle hit the pole at the intersection of Bi-State Boulevard and Allens Mill Road. The vehicle came to a stop approximately a mile south of that location. Bi-State Boulevard was closed for a considerable distance between Allens Mill and Old Racetrack Road while the fire department, Delmar Police and Delaware State Police operated at the two locations.
