June 14, 2026. Fertilizer fire. Brush 74 and Tanker 74-5 responded for a pile of fertilizer smoldering on Connelly Mill Road. Ladder 74 was on the street returning from another call and also responded with manpower to assist.

Members took advantage of the nice weather today conducting two types of training.

First, crews took out Ladder 74 and Truck 74 to a local apartment complex to practice placing the ladder to the roof.

After crews got a little break out of the heat, they headed to Leonards Mill Pond to conduct boat operations.

June 6, 2026. Motor Vehicle Collision on Bi-State Boulevard. Ladder 74 was initially responding to Salisbury for a reported apartment fire. On the way they rolled up on a vehicle collision that had just occurred and stopped to render aid. Paramedic A-74, Paramedic B-74 and Rescue 74 also responded. 3 people received medical evaluation but all declined transport to a hospital. Bi-State Boulevard was closed between Walnut Street and Foskey Lane while firefighters assessed patients and cleared debris and fluid from the roadway.

June 2, 2026. Wicomico Fire Box 74-1, residential structure fire. The call initially came in for an Automatic Fire Alarm activation in a residence on E. Pine Street on the Maryland side. Engine 74-1 responded and found smoke and fire showing on the back corner of the house, with exposure to a recreational vehicle. The call was upgraded to a working fire which brought additional fire departments including Salisbury, Hebron, Laurel, Sharptown and Mardela Springs. Station 71 Blades provided fire stand-by coverage at Delmar fire station during the incident.
