Delphi Parks would like to invite you to Riley Park this Friday, August 28th for a free showing of Monsters University!

We will be playing a game Jeopardy before the movie starts at dusk. Come early to play and win a prize!!

🚨 Riley Park has exciting news!!! 🚨

Delphi Parks Board has partner with Delphi Public Library to create our first ever story walk!!

Our story walk will take you around the 1/2 mile loop at Riley Park. This will be a fun and interactive way for you and the whole family to enjoy books!! 📚 📕

We hope to see you all at the ribbon cutting on Saturday September 5th at 5pm 💝

Due to the wet conditions and rain we unfortunately have to cancel our movie night. Maybe next month the rain will stay away?? ☔️🌧️💧😢😭

These are the only pictures I managed to capture at playgroup this week… oops! 🤦‍♀️📸

Playgroup isn’t just for the kids—it’s for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, babysitters, caregivers, and anyone who loves spending time with little ones. It’s a wonderful opportunity for everyone to socialize, make new friends, and enjoy quality time together.

This week we read a fun story about the 4th of July, then everyone got their own colorful “fireworks” (poppers) to play with and take home. 🇺🇸🎆

We’d love to have you join us! Come see us next Wednesday for another morning of stories, activities, and fun!

What a fun morning at playgroup! 💙 popsicles included to try to beat the heat!!

Today we read Don’t Blow Your Top and talked all about emotions. We learned that it’s okay to have big feelings, but it’s important to use healthy strategies to help us work through them—especially when we’re feeling angry or frustrated.

Some of the calming strategies we practiced included:
💨 Taking deep breaths
🔢 Counting
😊 Thinking happy thoughts
🎵 Listening to music
🤝 Asking a trusted adult for help
🤸 And, of course… JUMPING around!

To encourage families to keep practicing these healthy coping skills, each child took home a FREE jump pass to Get Air Lafayette, courtesy of Kristin Little! 🎉

A huge thank you, Kristin, for your generosity and support of our playgroup!

We can’t wait to see everyone again next Wednesday from 9:30–11:00 a.m. See you then! ❤️

Looking for something to do Wednesday mornings? Join us for playgroup at Riley Park from 9:30am-11:00am.

Each family will get a get a book and each child will get a toy that goes along with the book!

Here are some photos from the last two playgroups 📷 two weeks ago we read a book about colors & teamwork! Each kid took home chalk and a set of rainbow play scarfs. Last week we read a book about a construction site and each kid got to take home their very own toy dump truck!
