What started as a parenting class became something much more. 💙 At Catholic Charities Samaritan House, five moms came together for a six-week parenting program led by onsite therapist Jessica. Through weekly lessons, honest conversations and shared experiences, they gained valuable parenting tools—but perhaps even more importantly, they found community.
“It built a community,” participant Kara shared. “Before the class, if I saw another mom sitting by herself in the cafeteria, I probably would’ve just walked by. Now we sit together. We check on each other.” Since 1986, Samaritan House has provided shelter, support and hope to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Programs like this parenting cohort help strengthen families, build connections and remind parents that they don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
