What does it mean to be a Champion “Fore” the Homeless? This year, 110 golfers and 15 generous sponsors joined Catholic Charities at Arrowhead Golf Course for a day of golf, connection and giving back—all in support of the women, veterans and families served through our ministries. We are incredibly grateful to the businesses, families and community partners who choose to stand alongside Catholic Charities and invest in our mission. Your generosity helps provide shelter, meals, case management and pathways to stability for neighbors experiencing homelessness. Each year, Catholic Charities is able to serve more than 166,000 people, provide more than 277,000 nights of shelter across the Front Range and serve more than 575,000 meals to our neighbors across Colorado. That impact is possible because of YOU. 💙

Catholic Charities Respect Life team was honored to host the annual Gospel of Life Workshop at Holy Name Catholic Parish in Sheridan, welcoming nearly 40 people for an evening of learning, conversation and hope. With insights from Hope’s Promise and Springs of Love, attendees learned more about the realities of foster care and adoption in Colorado—and the many ways each of us can help strengthen vulnerable children and families. Thank you to our speakers, panelists and everyone who joined us to learn how individuals, couples and families can make a meaningful difference through foster care, adoption and advocacy. Together, we can build a culture that supports life and strengthens families. 💙

Today, we gathered as a community to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 40 years of Catholic Charities Samaritan House Denver serving our neighbors with dignity, compassion and hope. The day began with Mass, followed by tours that gave guests an opportunity to see the mission of Samaritan House firsthand. We then gathered for lunch prepared by the Holy Smokers and shared with guests and Samaritan House participants. It was a special day of fellowship, gratitude and reflection on the many lives touched over the past 40 years. When Samaritan House opened its doors in 1986, it made history as the first building in the nation designed and built specifically as a homeless shelter. Since then, Catholic Charities Samaritan House has grown to five locations across Colorado, continuing a mission that began right here in Denver. Today, the impact of that mission can be seen every day. Samaritan House Denver alone provides more than 225,000 nights of shelter and prepares more than 515,000 meals each year. And 99% of Client Services and Veterans participants do not return to shelter once they leave Samaritan House. Thank you to everyone who joined us today and to all who have been part of the Samaritan House story over the past four decades—our staff, volunteers, donors, community partners and the countless people who have walked through our doors. Here’s to 40 years of shelter, meals, support and hope—and to continuing to serve our Colorado community for years to come. 💙 To learn more about Samaritan House at ccdenver.org/shelter.

A backpack may seem like a simple gift, but for the families we serve, it can mean one less worry and one more reason to feel hopeful as a new school year begins. Now in its fifth year, the Catholic Charities School Supply Drive continues to grow thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors. This year, we provided more than 1,120 backpacks filled with school supplies to children and families served through our ministries. Each year, the Catholic Charities Kinship Caregiver Program serves more than 400 children and caregivers, providing free support groups, family events, trainings and resources for relatives raising children when parents are unable to do so. We are especially grateful to the parishes of the Archdiocese of Denver whose generosity made this year’s backpack drive possible: Blessed Sacrament, Good Shepherd, Our Lady of Loreto, Our Lady of Lourdes, Shrine of St. Anne, Spirit of Christ, St. Joseph in Golden, St. Mary in Littleton and St. Thomas More. Together, you’re helping children start the school year with the tools they need to learn, grow and thrive. Thank you for making a difference—one backpack at a time. 🎒✨

This summer, students and leaders from Minnesota and Illinois traveled to Denver through YouthWorks to spend the day volunteering at Catholic Charities Samaritan House. From preparing meals and deep cleaning to caring for our grounds, they rolled up their sleeves to help create a more welcoming space for the individuals and families we serve every day. As Samaritan House celebrates 40 years of serving our community, we’re reminded that volunteers have always been at the heart of our mission. Across Catholic Charities, volunteers contribute more than 58,000 hours of service every year, helping prepare meals, care for our facilities, support programs and create welcoming spaces for our neighbors. Thank you to YouthWorks, St. Paul’s Church and Yorkfield Presbyterian Church for spending part of your summer serving alongside us. Your compassion is making a difference. At Catholic Charities Housing’s St. Valentine Apartments in Loveland, residents are discovering that gardening can cultivate more than fresh vegetables—it can cultivate trust, confidence and community. When one resident left town, neighbors stepped in to water the garden. They returned to find their plants thriving, a simple act that became a powerful reminder that they could rely on one another. The garden was created by peer navigator Annie, whose own journey of recovery began with gardening. She knows firsthand how caring for something over time can rebuild confidence, create healthy routines and remind people they are capable of following through. Today, residents are planting vegetables from seed, sharing gardening tips, celebrating each new harvest and building meaningful relationships along the way. St. Valentine is one of Catholic Charities 31 affordable housing communities across Colorado, providing stable homes for more than 2,850 residents. Swipe to see the transformation 🌱. A backpack may seem like a small thing, but for many families, it can make a world of difference as a new school year begins. 💙🎒This year, Rachel, a caregiver in Catholic Charities Kinship Caregiver Program, stopped by our annual Catholic Charities School Supply Drive to pick up a backpack and school supplies for the child in her care. Like thousands of kinship caregivers across the country, Rachel has stepped in to raise a relative’s child, providing love, stability and hope when it’s needed most. Kinship Caregiver Program offers monthly support groups, short term case management, special family activities throughout the year and more. Thanks to the incredible generosity of eight parishes across the Archdiocese of Denver and everyone who donated, thousands of children served through Catholic Charities ministries will head back to school with the supplies they need to succeed.
