Yesterday we celebrated our incredible 5th Grade graduates, and what a beautiful reflection of Crew it was. 💙

Our students prepared and delivered thoughtful speeches, shared heartfelt accolades with one another, and reflected on the growth, courage, and character they’ve built throughout their elementary journey. We also heard powerful words from 5th Grade Teaching Team, Lana, Gabi and Cayden, who have guided this class with so much care, joy, and dedication.

Feeling incredibly grateful for an amazing teaching team, a supportive community of families, and a group of students who continue to inspire us every day. Watching these students step into their next adventure reminds us exactly why we do this work.

Once Crew, always Crew. 🎓🐻

Our 5th Grade Passage Presentations were a powerful celebration of growth, reflection, and leadership. 🌟

Students shared stories of how they’ve grown throughout their elementary years at DDES, reflected on challenges they’ve overcome, and set goals for the transition to middle school.

Throughout the day, community panelists asked thoughtful questions, offered meaningful feedback, and celebrated each student with accolades that highlighted their strengths and character.

We are so proud of the courage, preparation, and authenticity our students brought to their presentations. The future is bright for this crew. 💙

🐝 SAVE THE BEES! 🐝

Our Kindergarteners have been busy becoming bee experts, activists, writers, and change makers!

Join us for their Celebration of Learning as students share opinion letters and speeches with the Denver community about why honey bees matter and how we can help protect them. 🌼🍯

Students will also be selling handmade buttons to support local beekeeping efforts!

🚀✨ Our SPACE JAM Family Dance was truly OUT OF THIS WORLD! ✨🚀

The night was packed with amazing food, endless cotton candy & donuts, snow cones, face paint, a photo booth, awesome goodie bags, and nonstop dancing with DDES Alum DJ Poison Ivy keeping the party going all night long. 🎶🪩🍩🍧📸

A HUGE thank you to our incredible parent volunteers who absolutely knocked it out of the park and made this event so special for our community. Your creativity, energy, and care made the whole night feel magical. 💫

And thank you to all the families who came out to dance, celebrate, and make memories together. We love this community so much. 💙

❄️ DDES CLOSED TOMORROW (Wednesday) ❄️

Due to the incoming storm and expected icy, snowy conditions during arrival time, DDES will be closed tomorrow.

We’re making the call early to keep everyone safe and give families time to plan ahead.

🪐🚀 DDES Space Jam Dance-a-Thon = SUCCESS 🌟🛰️

We blasted past our goal and raised almost $30,000 for our school!!

The kids had an absolute blast—nonstop dancing, huge energy, and full-on Space Jam vibes all day long 💫

A huge thank you to our families for showing up and sharing—75% of donations came from outside our community, which is incredible.

We are so grateful. This is what We Are Crew looks like 💙✨

Live music, DJ, silent auction, open bar, great food, and a full dance floor. It’s our biggest fundraiser and one of the most fun nights of the year.
