📣 MSRH NAMED TOP 10 RURAL HEALTHCARE FACILITY BY CRHC 📣
For the second year in a row, Mt. San Rafael Hospital and Clinics was named one of the Top 10 Rural Healthcare Facilities in Colorado for Overall Performance by the Colorado Rural Health Center.
Per the Colorado Rural Health Center press release, the Colorado Rural Health Center (CRHC) presented a select group of Colorado rural hospitals and clinics with the "Top 10 Rural Healthcare Facility for Overall Performance, 2026" award during The Colorado Rural Healthcare Conference. The Top 10 award recognizes a commitment to quality, innovation, and service to their communities.
"Now more than ever, having care locally is vitally important for rural communities. We are proud to recognize these 10 facilities that exemplify a spirit of service while delivering high quality care, close to home," said CRHC CEO Michelle Mills. "These standout facilities represent a year of hard work, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to excellence across our rural communities.," said Mills.
The Colorado Rural Health Center's Top 10 Rural Healthcare Facilities Awards, now in their second year, are based on data from two established performance tools: the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX® and the Stroudwater Associates Rural Health Clinic Financial Dashboard. The Chartis Center for Rural Health uses INDEX Overall Performance data to identify the Top 5 Rural Hospital awardees. Now in its 16th year, the INDEX provides a comprehensive and objective evaluation of rural hospital performance. It is used nationwide by rural hospitals, health systems with rural affiliates, hospital associations, and state offices of rural health to measure and monitor performance across key operational and financial areas. The Top 5 Rural Health Clinic awardees are determined using Stroudwater's Rural Health Clinic Financial Dashboard. The awards were based on five key criteria: preventive care and vaccination efficiency, overhead and administrative efficiency, clinical throughput, staffing stability and investment, and revenue cycle and reimbursement.
“We are thrilled to have received this distinction from the Colorado Rural Health Center for the second year in a row,” said Kim Lucero, Mt. San Rafael Hospital CEO. “To be recognized among the top rural facilities is a huge source of pride for us, as it is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, teamwork and outstanding efforts of all of our physicians, nursing teams and staff in their diligent and compassionate care of all of our patients and their families.”
