Communist Workers League - Bay Area, February 13, 2019· POINTS OF UNITY
The COMMUNIST WORKERS LEAGUE stands for the revolutionary overthrow of the capitalist class and its state. We want to take the banks, factories, warehouses, stores, transportation systems, offices, healthcare system, utilities and natural resources away from the tiny, super-wealthy class of capitalists and put it all in the ha

nds of the multinational working class of the world and the oppressed masses of humanity, so we can own and run them in a planned and rational manner in order to meet people’s needs, not profit by exploitation of the majority. We do the work of the world and we deserve it all! We believe the only road to a just society free of class exploitation, crisis and war is through socialist revolution and a continued struggle toward communism. Modern technology could provide every human being on this planet with a home, education, security and a healthy life, but only if it’s freed from capitalist ownership and the profit system. Like Huey P. Newton of the Black Panther Party said, “The people have the right to the best that technology can give.” This requires the rule of the working class, the dictatorship of the proletariat and the abolition of the capitalist class. We are joined together in our unconditional defense of the right of all oppressed nations to self-determination, especially those under the boot of U.S. imperialism. This includes oppressed nations within the confines of the U.S. – African Americans, Indigenous nations, the Xicano nation and all Latinx peoples, and colonized Puerto Rico, Caribbean and Asian/Pacific Islands. We stand with all those fighting racism, white supremacy and national oppression, defending full rights for all immigrants including undocumented workers and all those challenging Islamophobia, anti-Arab and anti-Asian bigoty
We are internationalists and extend our support and solidarity to all peoples struggling for self-determination against capitalism and imperialism. We fully defend all socialist countries and workers states against imperialist subversion and intervention, including Cuba, China, Vietnam, Laos and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, as well as Venezuela and Bolivia and all others who seek to follow a socialist path. We stand with the people of Palestine, the Philippines, the Donbass and all those fighting for national liberation in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. We support the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination free from U.S.-backed and -funded Zionist genocide and occupation and for their right to return. We support the rights of Syria, Yemen, Iran, Zimbabwe and all states fighting U.S. and NATO imperialist military intervention and political and economic subversion. We fully oppose sexism and gender and LGBTQ+ oppression and see the roots of this oppression in the emergence of private property and class society, which we fight to overturn. We are for the right of women to full equality and reproductive freedom, including free, legal and accessible contraception and abortion on demand. We are the for unconditional defense of all transgender and gender-nonconforming people in the struggle for full liberation and equality and against reactionary transphobic ideology. Patriarchy will be smashed when capitalism is abolished. We know that scientific socialism is the only way to save the planet and humanity, that the multinational working class will be the agent of change to destroy the capitalist system and build socialism. A new world can only be created by continuous struggle to do away with the old and build the future with unity, solidarity, international cooperation and planning to meet human and environmental needs in the face of capitalist created climate change that is destroying the planet. Unity and solidarity are built through struggle, and we fight daily around demands that not only aim to challenge the very structure of this rotten system, but to build the working-class unity and community power necessary to tear down capitalism, imperialism, white supremacy and gender oppression. It is time for the masses to unite and organize for freedom, justice, liberation and for the dismantling of all oppressive structures – for socialism. This is OUR struggle. Let’s struggle together. Workers and Oppressed Peoples of the World Unite! LET’S BUILD THE REVOLUTION TODAY, SOCIALISM TOMORROW, AND A COMMUNIST FUTURE.

🔴 The United Nations, Palestinian officials and Germany have criticized Israeli plans to expand military control over Gaza after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israeli occupation forces should move from controlling roughly 60 percent of the territory to 70 percent.

The remarks, made during a seminar in the occupied Jordan Valley on Thursday, represented one of the clearest public indications yet that Israel intends to deepen its territorial hold over large parts of the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect in October 2025.

Netanyahu stated that Israeli occupation forces currently control approximately 60 percent of Gaza and indicated that he had instructed the military to expand that figure further.

The announcement immediately drew international criticism, with the United Nations reiterating its opposition to any long-term Israeli control over Palestinian territory.

➡️ Speaking at UN headquarters in New York on Friday, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric rejected the Israeli plan in unequivocal terms.

“One hundred percent of Gaza should be for the Palestinian people,” Dujarric said.

He added that the United Nations continues to call for Israel to withdraw from areas it occupies inside Gaza, including territory around the so-called ‘Yellow Line,’ which was established under the ceasefire framework.

The Yellow Line emerged following the first phase of the ceasefire arrangement backed by US President Donald Trump. Under that framework, Israeli forces withdrew to designated positions while retaining control over a significant portion of eastern Gaza.

The agreement envisioned additional Israeli withdrawals during later phases of the ceasefire process.

However, Palestinian officials and local sources have repeatedly accused Israel of gradually pushing the line westward and expanding its effective control beyond the boundaries originally outlined in the agreement.

The Israeli military announced in October last year that it controlled approximately 53 percent of Gaza after redeploying to positions along the yellow line.
