Spring has officially arrived and many of you are asking what you can do to help. So we took to
the streets and asked, and this is the list we came up with....PLEASE NOTE that every meal we serve costs us between $300.00-$350.00, so anything would be greatly appreciated.

Blessed Backpack Brigade 2026 Spring Wish List

Alkaline batteries – All sizes
Gift cards for coffee, burgers, grocery stores, etc. (folks are typically not allowed to go into these establishments to warm up unless they buy something)
Beef jerky, Slim Jims
Flea and Tick Spray
Heavy Duty cardboard paper plates
Tents/sleeping bags
Flex seal tape, Gorilla duct tape, Alien tape, clear tape (for fixing tarps and tents)
Women's underwear – Sizes 5 & 6
Mens Briefs Size L
Paper towels / toilet paper
Hand wipes / Body wipes
13 gallon trash bags, 30 gallon green trash bags
LED flashlights
Battery operated transistor radios
Bottled water/ Gatorade/ Powerade
Heavy duty tarps 10x10, 8x10 or 10x12
Laundry detergent / Dryer Sheets
Sandwich, Snack and Quart size baggies
Assorted Bungies
Water proofer for boots and shoes
Q-Tips
Shampoo / Conditioner
Food – flip top cans, tuna &crackers, chicken & crackers
First Aid kits
We are always in need of Aspirin, Tylenol, Motrin, Advil, Cough medicine, Tissues, Dish detergent, magnetic screen door

BIG THANK YOU to Aubuchon Ace Hardware for supporting our community and the Blessed Backpack Brigade during their grand re-opening. Their corporate office even donated a Blackstone Griddle for us to be able to raise money on to continue to support the homeless and less fortunate in our area.
Another GIGANTIC THANK YOU to the generous, caring people who came out to see us and give us a straight out donation. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

THIS SUNDAY MAY 17th, we will be serving another favorite - Meat Lasagna for the homeless and anyone in need.
Hats off to our good friends over at Mack's Catering Service & Restaurant who prepared this delicious food for us.
We will be on Davis Street in Webster by the train, from noon - 2 PM or until we run out of food., so get there early. Please share with anyone who may benefit from a free, mouthwatering meal!

This Sunday we will be providing free meals in memory of Waclaw Kmak, better known as Stasiu. We were blessed to know Stasiu for many years, along with his famously permanent smile and sweetly gentle soul. It has been a little over 4 years since he passed, yet we still think of him fondly all the time. We miss you, Stasiu, and hope you are at peace.

This week's meal will be pulled pork sandwiches, prepared by Mack's Catering Service & Restaurant. As always, we will be out on Davis Street in Webster (by the train) from noon to 2 PM or until we run out of food.

We ask that you all consider "paying it forward" in memory of Stasiu and share a random act of kindness with a stranger, friend, or loved one. We know the world could certainly use more kindness right now 🤍
