One career wasn’t enough.
After completing a full career with the Warwick Police Department , Officer Dave Imbriglio wasn’t ready to call it quits. Instead, he chose to continue doing what he loved and joined the East Greenwich Police Department in 2009. Lucky for us, that decision gave our department nearly 18 more years of dedicated service.
During his time with EGPD, Dave served on 3rd, 2nd, and 1st shift patrol, always bringing the same professionalism, experience, and a steady presence to every call for service. He became our lead Field Training Officer, mentoring countless new officers and helping shape the future of this department with his knowledge, patience, and leadership.
Shortly after joining EGPD, he was elected to the IBPO Local #472 Executive Board and later served as Union President, tirelessly advocating for his fellow officers while remaining an active and respected member of the East Greenwich community.
The true measure of a career isn’t just the years served—it’s the people you’ve influenced and the legacy you leave behind. Dave’s impact will be felt for years to come through the officers he trained, the colleagues he supported, and the friendships he built along the way.
From everyone at the East Greenwich Police Department, thank you for your unwavering dedication, leadership, and friendship. You have left this department better than you found it, and for that we are incredibly grateful.
Please join us in congratulating Officer Dave Imbriglio on his well-earned retirement and wishing him many years of good health, happiness, and relaxation. Congratulations, Dave, you’ve more than earned it! 👏🚔💙
