🚧 SYSTEM MAINTENANCE NOTICE: AUGUST 10–11, 2026 🚧

The Town of East Greenwich would like to inform residents that our system will be unavailable on Monday, August 10th and Tuesday, August 11th due to scheduled maintenance.

During this time, the Finance Department will be unable to:
• Process payments (in-person, online, or by phone)
• Provide information on tax or sewer accounts
• Provide information on accounts payable

In addition, the Town Clerk’s Office will be unable to process credit card payments.

⚠️ Please Note: Town offices will be closed on Monday, August 10th in observance of Victory Day.

✅ All services are expected to resume normal operations on Wednesday, August 12th.

If you have a payment due during this period, please plan ahead and submit it before August 10th or after services resume.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve our systems.

🚧 **Update on Carrs Pond Road Reconstruction** 🚧

We wanted to inform everyone that the Carrs Pond Road Reconstruction has been postponed due to a mechanical issue with the contractor's machinery. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience during this time.

We are now scheduled to begin repaving on Thursday, July 23. Please stay tuned for further updates, and thank you for your understanding as we work to improve our roads!

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE 🚧

We want to inform you about a delay in the scheduled road closure for Carrs Pond Road.

📅 Original Closure Date: Monday, July 13, 2026

⏳ New Date: Wednesday, July 15, 2026

🚗 Traffic Update: The road will remain open to all traffic until July 15th.

🚧 **Attention Residents!** 🚧

We want to inform you that the reconstruction of Carrs Pond Road will commence on Monday, July 13, 2026. During working hours, the road will be closed to through traffic to ensure safe operations.

Traffic detail officers will be on-site to assist with detours and provide access to local residences. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our roads!

The project is expected to last for several days, but rest assured, no weekend work is planned. If weather permits, we anticipate that pavement restoration will be completed in the following week.

The highway crew completed the culvert work on Carrs Pond Road in one day. As a result, the road will reopen to through traffic this evening and the closure for tomorrow (6/26/26) has been cancelled.
