Week one: officially in the books. 💜

New schedules, new teachers, new faces—and plenty of August heat. We’re happy to report we kept most of that heat where it belongs: outside. 😉

Inside EPLA, our students got to focus on settling in, meeting their teachers, finding their rhythm and getting back to learning.

The only things running hot around here? The energy, the ideas, and some new friendship bonds 🏆

Primera semana: oficialmente cumplida. 💜

Nuevos horarios, nuevos maestros, nuevas caras—y bastante calor de agosto. Nos da gusto decir que logramos mantener la mayor parte de ese calor donde corresponde: afuera. 😉

Adentro de EPLA, nuestros estudiantes pudieron concentrarse en adaptarse, conocer a sus maestros, encontrar su ritmo y volver al aprendizaje.¿Lo único que estuvo encendido por aquí? La energía y las ideas. 🏆

Gracias a nuestros estudiantes, familias, maestros y personal por una excelente primera semana. Una menos. Todo un año por delante.

During CRUSH² Week, our scholars put EPLA’s values into practice through hands-on challenges designed to strengthen communication, problem-solving, trust, and teamwork.

From building together to relying on one another, our scholars demonstrated Collaboration, Responsibility, an Unrelenting spirit, Smarts, Humility, and a Hunger for growth.

EPLA was proud to attend Big Bang 2026 in Dallas, hosted by !

Our administrators, teachers, and young people came together with educators and students from across the country to learn, connect, and celebrate the power of student-centered education.

The trip became even more special when our own Mr. Soto was named Advisor of the Year! We are incredibly proud of this well-deserved recognition. Mr. Soto is a dedicated educator, a trusted mentor, and a constant champion for our scholars. We are so fortunate to have him as part of the EPLA familia.

Congratulations, Mr. Soto!

We are excited to share the 2026-2027 Bell Schedule for El Paso Leadership Academy Flagship!

Please note that we are shifting to a new school day schedule this year:

🕗 Gates Open: 8:15 AM
🎓 School Begins: 8:45 AM
🏫 School Ends: 4:30 PM
🚗 Dismissal: 4:30 PM to 4:45 PM

This updated schedule maximizes instructional time while providing a consistent daily routine for our scholars. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for an incredible 2026-2027 school year on July 27th!

Starting next school year, **EPLA Flagship scholars may bring any backpack they choose.**

We believe creativity and individuality have a place in education. Whether your style is bold, simple, colorful, athletic, artistic, or somewhere in between, your backpack should reflect *you.*

There is just one expectation:
✅ It must be school appropriate.

That means no:
• Drugs or alcohol references
• Gang signs or gang-related imagery
• Weapons
• Profanity or inappropriate language
• Explicit or offensive content

Everything else? Show us what makes you, *you.*

At EPLA, we aren't just preparing scholars for tests. We're preparing leaders who think independently, express themselves responsibly, and contribute positively to our community.

We can't wait to see the creativity walking through our doors this fall. ❤️💛💙💜💚

Creemos que la creatividad y la individualidad también forman parte de la educación. Ya sea que tu estilo sea clásico, deportivo, artístico, colorido o único, ¡queremos que tu mochila refleje quién eres!

The 26-27 School Year supply list is here! It is a unified list, whether your scholar is a 6th grader or 8th grader, the list is the same.

EPLA’s Summer Workshop Series is cost-free, open to all El Paso teens 13–18, and no school enrollment required. It’s a real look at real programming — AI, trades, money, and mental wellness. Come try it. If your family loves it, you can enroll right there.

EPLA has two campuses and one identity. Flagship, established in 2014 in the heart of Central El Paso, carries the legacy and the relationships that have defined this school since the beginning. East Campus, established in 2019, brings that same mission to the east side with the added advantage of our Sul Ross University partnership and the Early College pathway. Both campuses are enrolling for Fall 2026, and both give newly enrolled students early access to the 2026 Summer Workshop Series starting mid-June. Whichever campus feels right for your family, the standard — and the welcome — is the same. 🤍

EPLA tiene dos campus y una identidad. Flagship, establecido en 2014 en el corazón del Centro de El Paso, lleva el legado y las relaciones que han definido esta escuela desde el principio. East Campus, establecido en 2019, lleva esa misma misión al este de la ciudad con la ventaja adicional de nuestra alianza con Sul Ross University y la vía Early College.
