🌧️ WEATHER ALERT | FLOOD WATCH 🌩️

Heavy rainfall has been forecasted for the remainder of the week. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for El Paso County beginning at 12 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) through Wednesday evening.

Heavy rainfall can lead to flash flooding and rapidly changing road conditions, including roadways becoming impassable. Stay weather aware and keep these safety tips in mind:
⚠️ Never attempt to drive through a flooded roadway. Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
⚠️ Avoid low-lying areas and arroyos. Water can rise quickly, even when rainfall is occurring miles away.
⚠️ Be prepared for lightning and power outages. Lightning can impact power lines and cause disruptions.
⚠️ Stay indoors during severe thunderstorms and avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve.
Stay alert, monitor weather updates, and be prepared to adjust your plans as conditions change.

SAVE THE DATE: Annual Trunk or Treat Block Party! Mayor Lerma with Anthony, Texas Community Outreach Committee will be organizing the event on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 5:30pm. If you would like to participate, it is FREE of charge! Set up time is 4:00pm! We will be closing Sixth Street (between Poplar Street and Franklin Street) to keep families and kids safe!
