Back in February, our Asian elephant, Juno, underwent another procedure to continue treating cancerous tumor in one of her mammary glands. The zoo reached out to veterinary oncologists and other experts to develop an innovative treatment plan that was safe and minimally invasive for Juno. The City of El Paso Public Affairs department was able to capture the marvelous procedure – one of 6 that the zoo has performed over 2 years to manage Juno’s tumor - in the video below.🐘💕
