The Knauss Homestead

The Knauss Homestead The Knauss Homestead was built in 1777 by Heinrich Knauss for his father, Moravian settler and founder of Emmaus, Sebastian Knauss.

On the National Register of Historic Places, it’s where the Lehigh Valley can gather and share their love of history. The Knauss Homestead was built in 1777 by Henry Knauss, son of Sebastian Henrich Knauss in Emmaus PA on land donated by Sebastian Heinrich Knauss.

NEW DATE! 💃🕺

Due to the inclement weather expected this weekend, we have decided to postpone the Sunset Salsa at the Homestead event originally scheduled for Saturday, September 26th.

The good news is that we have a new date!

Sunset Salsa has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 3rd from 5–9 PM at The Knauss Homestead.

Please note: Your previous registration does not transfer to the new event date. If you’d still like to join us on October 3rd, please register again using our new Eventbrite link:

Franklin Hill Vineyards and Social Still Distillery will be joining us, along with delicious local Latin culinary flavor to enjoy throughout the evening.

Big thank you to the City of Allentown and Allentown Chamber of Commerce for having us their first Liberty Bell Festival, commemorating the hiding of the Liberty Bell in Allentown back in 1777 at the Zion Reformed Church on Hamilton Street.

Special thanks to Valley Rental & Sales Inc. for transporting our precious wagon to and from The Knauss Homestead safely! 👏
