This incredible chest belonged to our own Magdalene Knauss (b.1785) right here in Emmaus. She was the 5x Great Grandmother of our Vice President Maggie Fischer.

Where has this been for the past 250 years? We don’t know, but we are going to do everything we can to bring this beautiful piece back to the Homestead where it belongs for everyone to enjoy. What an amazing way to celebrate our 250th birthday!
