The Town of Enfield is excited to partner with area organizations and businesses to develop a walking trail around Cole Athletic Field.

We are grateful to the generous donors and partners who have helped make this project possible, including:
•The County Federal Credit Union, for a generous donation of $4,000 toward trail materials
•Blaine P. King, for providing the use of a compactor roller
•Northern Penobscot Activities Council, for providing new park benches

The approximately ¼-mile gravel trail will provide residents and visitors with a safe, accessible place to walk and enjoy the rural setting, with convenient parking available off the main road.

We are working diligently to complete the project with assistance from area organizations and businesses - including a local vendor for new signs at the field, to make this space a welcoming community resource.

⚽ Cold Stream Kickers Are Back at Cole Athletic Field for the 2026 Season ⚽

We’re excited to welcome Cold Stream Kickers back to Cole Athletic Field for another season of youth soccer! The Town appreciates the organizers, families, volunteers, and generous sponsors who help bring this community activity to Enfield.

As more organizations and groups make use of our parks and open spaces, we also want to clarify the Town’s requirements for organized activities. Organized groups or events, which are not Town-sponsored, require a Facility Use Agreement and general liability insurance. These simple steps help protect our public spaces, taxpayers, participants, and organizers—and reflect our shared responsibility for caring for community resources.

We’re proud to support activities that bring families together and make good use of our Town facilities. Together, we can keep Cole Athletic Field and our other parks welcoming, safe, and available for the entire community.

Planning Board will be holding a public hearing on Wednesday, September 9th, at 5pm at the Cole Memorial Building.

A Special Town Meeting will follow at 6pm.

Planning Board will conduct regular business in between/after the special time meeting as time allows.

FY27 taxes were committed on August 18th. Tax bills are with the printer for mail distribution. Tax bills are due January 31, 2027. Bills paid in full by end of business on September 21st will receive a 2% discount. Postmarked envelopes are accepted.
