This past weekend, the Naval Station Everett Chief Petty Officers Association was proud to support Making Strides of Snohomish County and its mission to bring communities together in the fight against breast cancer.

Giving back is part of who we are. Our Sailors live, work, and serve alongside the people of Snohomish County, and we are grateful for every opportunity to support the community we call home.

Ships don't generate combat power. Sailors do ⚓️

The Office of the Chief of Naval Operations had a defining message: Sailor quality of life is directly integral to operational readiness and combat lethality.

Long-term operational success starts at the deckplates. Through the Navy’s "Total Sailor: Fit to Fight" initiative, shore enterprise investments are delivering tangible quality-of-life improvements where Sailors live, eat, and recharge:

📶 High-Speed Connectivity: Wi-Fi across unaccompanied housing has reached 90% coverage and is aggressively scaling to 100%.

🍽️ Upgraded Galley Standards: Food service satisfaction surged from 56% to 80% following modern galley enhancements.

🛏️ Homeport Berthing Relief: Slashed the number of junior Sailors living aboard ships in homeport by more than 80%, giving our warfighters the rest and recovery environment they need.

As CNO emphasized, quality of service is inseparable from fleet readiness and it's foundational to recruiting, retaining, developing, and sustaining the force we send into harm’s way.

Annual CMT Training – Wednesday, 28 October

NSE will host in-person CMT for all NSE tenant commands from 1200–1500 at Building 2000, Moore Auditorium.

Training schedule:
• 1200–1300: Sexual Assault Prevention and Response
• 1300–1400: NCIS Counterintelligence / Insider Threat
• 1400–1500: Su***de Prevention

Please coordinate attendance with your command training manager. Commands are responsible for bringing their own sign-in roster.

This is training is open to Active Duty, Reserve, and Civilian employees of the Department of War.

Your Voice Matters: Take the DEOCS Survey!

The Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) is an important opportunity to ensure your voice is heard. Your feedback helps leadership better understand the command climate and identify areas where we can improve.

Although you must enter your DoD ID to access the survey, responses are completely anonymous and cannot be traced back to you.

If you are attached to Naval Station Everett (NSE) UICs, you should have received an email from the Command Master Chief encouraging everyone to complete the survey. The deadline for NSE UICs has been extended to 30 October.

If you are assigned to another command or are a tenant at NSE, please speak with your chain of command about your organization’s DEOCS survey.

Please take the time to participate and ensure your voice, and your family’s perspective, is heard. This is an invaluable opportunity to share feedback directly with leadership.
