The top attendees from last season’s Ice Dogs security fundraiser traded the ice rink for the rapids! 🧊🐕🚣‍♂️A massive shoutout to Nathan Gilreath, Laineil Guim, Wyatt Abel, Christian Hamby and Sergio Lattanzi for their incredible help last season. As a thank you, the crew headed out on an epic whitewater rafting trip with Denali Raft Adventures Inc. and had an absolute blast!📸 Check out the after-trip photo below!Want to join us on next year's trip? We had a great quarterly meeting tonight with a visit from Rob Proffitt from the Fairbanks Ice Dogs Hockey. Great discussions occurred with a good representation from area departments

TVFA Quarterly Membership Meeting - Aug 24th at CGFR Sta 42.

Its been a busy year so far for the TVFA and we are not done yet! Lots of training offered, scholarships awarded, and programs being sponsored or supported.

Reading Smoke, Attack Line Essentials, EV Emergencies. Scholarships to the Palmer's Summer Solstice Leadership Seminar, Truck Co Operations in Seward, and soon to the Alaska Fire Conference in Kenai.

By the end of 2026, the TVFA will have put $30,000 back into the Interior fire service. All this has largely happened because of the time and effort put in by a relatively small group of members. The Fairbanks Ice Dogs Hockey opportunity is a huge funding source for this as well.

All members are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting to help shape what the future of the TVFA will look like.

It’s raffle time!!! This is the Alaska State Firefighters Association’s largest fundraiser and helps fund our scholarships, training grants and other ASFA member benefits. It also allows us to provide funding for the annual Alaska Fire Conference.
