UPDATE : we are asking residents in the Daniel’s farm /Roosevelt Drive area to Please check their cameras.

This little girl was on a walk at Indian ledge Park and took off toward route 25 in Trumbull. Please be on the lookout for her as she may have been hit by a car. Call in sightings immediately to the number on the flyer.

Dolce is now home safe and sound with his family. It seems he spent some time at Animal Control. Welcome home, sweetheart. Your family was extremely worried!

Coyote Activity – Mill Hill Road Area

Fairfield Animal Control and the Fairfield Police Department are aware of concerning coyote activity in the Mill Hill Road area and surrounding neighborhoods.

Recent reports have been received from the 1200–1300 block of Mill Hill Road, the 1600 block of Bronson Road, Whites Hill Lane, and nearby open space trails.

Over the past several days, there have been multiple reports involving a coyote approaching people, vehicles, homes, and dogs. The coyote has attacked dogs of varying sizes, including larger dogs. These incidents have occurred both within residential neighborhoods and in nearby open space areas.

Of particular concern, the coyote has remained in the area following some of these encounters and has shown little fear of people. This is not typical coyote behavior, and residents are asked to use additional caution.

If you live in or are walking through the area:

• Keep pets indoors whenever possible.
• Do not leave pets outside unattended, regardless of their size or whether the yard is fenced.
• Keep dogs on a leash and close to you when outside, including on open space trails.
• Do not approach, follow, corner, or attempt to interact with the coyote.
• Remove outdoor food sources, including pet food and unsecured garbage.
• Never intentionally feed coyotes or other wildlife.

If you see the coyote, keep your distance and contact Fairfield Animal Control at 203-254-4857. If Animal Control is not on duty, contact the Fairfield Police Department non-emergency line at 203-254-4800.

Fairfield Animal Control and the Fairfield Police Department are aware of the situation and will continue to monitor activity in the area. Please continue to report sightings so we can track the coyote's activity and location.

Does this cat look familiar? Neighbors in the Alma Dr area reached out to Fairfield Animal Control to report seeing this cat hanging around and they are concerned that he/she may be lost.
This cat does not appear sick or injured so it is not currently at the shelter. If this is your cat or you know the owner, please call Fairfield Animal Control 203-254-4857

Adoption Update!

Do you remember Frank?

Frank was not initially listed for adoption due to significant health issues. Our priority was to get him stabilized and find a family prepared to manage his ongoing medical needs.

We are happy to share that while working with Frank, someone came forward and he has found that home. He was adopted by a family who is able to provide the care, attention, and support he needs moving forward.

Good luck, Frank. We are so happy to see you start this next chapter.
