Rosemont Preserve Walking Tour - August 24, 2026

Before you arrive, here are a few important reminders to help ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience.

🥾 This is an active construction site. The tour will take you through approximately 2 miles of rugged terrain, including gravel, dirt paths, uneven surfaces, and varying elevations.(see attached photos)
✅ Recommended Footwear:
• Hiking boots
• Work boots
• Athletic shoes with good traction
❌ Please Do Not Wear:
• Flip-flops or sandals
• High heels or wedges
• Dress shoes
• Open-toe or smooth-soled footwear
👕 We also recommend wearing comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and surroundings.
If this terrain isn't the right fit for you, don't worry! The City plans to host another public walking tour in the spring, when construction is further along and the walking paths are more complete and accessible. We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience the incredible transformation of the Rosemont Preserve.

For those attending, the terrain at the Rosemont Preserve is fairly rough as this is still an active construction site. Please make sure you wear the appropriate foot wear - hiking boot/shoe, muck boots, or work boots 🥾... (flip flps, sandals, slides, dress shoes will not be allowed).
