Please be aware of the funeral procession details for the late Mayor Reggie Jones. Plan travel accordingly.

CITY OF DELLWOOD – FUNERAL PROCESSION INFORMATION

Thursday September 3, 2026 Residents are invited to respectfully line West Florissant Avenue, Chambers Road, and nearby public viewing areas as the funeral procession honoring Mayor Reggie Jones travels through Dellwood.

The procession is anticipated to enter the Dellwood area near Keelen Drive and West Florissant between 9:00–9:15 a.m. and travel toward Dellwood City Hall before continuing to New Sunny Mount Baptist Church.

Please expect significant traffic delays and temporary road closures between approximately 9:00–10:00 a.m. and again from 1:00–2:00 p.m.

We encourage residents to arrive early, remain safely out of the roadway, follow all law enforcement directions, and join us in showing our respect for Mayor Jones and his service to our community.

Together, we honor his life, leadership, and legacy.

💙 Today was a good day!!!

Your FPD and Ethical Society of Police - ESOP were joined today by a host of community members to shower the children and family of Shakeela Martin with love and lots of donations from our community back to school drive. The children were so excited to see all of the donations provided by this community! The smiles, the laughter, the tears…thank you to everyone that donated to this family! You are all angels!🫶🏽💙🫶🏽

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. Did you know that all FPD officers are trained to administer Naloxone (NARCAN) to a person suspected of overdosing? All FPD vehicles are equipped with NARCAN also. The number of calls our department responds to regarding suspected overdosing has increased so having this specialized training and the equipment to save a life is not a convenience--it's an absolute necessity.

No excuses this Saturation Saturday....
Law enforcement agencies across the county, including the Ferguson Police Department, are stepping up impaired driving enforcement between now and Labor Day weekend - and MADD is standing with us.

High-visibility enforcement is happening because impaired driving kills. If you choose to drive impaired, you risk getting caught. More importantly, you risk taking someone’s life.
Before you celebrate tonight, make a plan to get home safely.
🚗 Designate a sober driver.
📱 Call a rideshare.
🏠 Stay overnight.
🚌 Use public transportation.
Have a plan. Stick to it. Get home safe.

Today a host of civic and elected, leaders, residents, education leaders, healthcare professionals, and organizations gathered in Ferguson to examine progress in a number of critical areas since 2014. The meeting was hosted by the Urban League and its Federation of Block Units. Good conversation and insight during the meeting!
