HAPPY UPDATE: Mr. Wilbert is home safe!

The Ferguson Police Department needs your help locating a neighbor with some mental health concerns. William Tyrone Wilbert, Je. age 29, has not been seen or heard from by his family since Friday afternoon, June 19, 2026. He is 5‘10“ tall, approximately 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, gray sweatpants, and Nike gray and red tennis shoes. He has a scar on his right cheek. He left his residence in the 300 block of Ballman on Friday, June 19 sometime after 3 PM. According to family members he has a diagnosed intellectual disability. He was last seen by his brother on Chambers Road and West Florissant on Friday, June 19, 2026 at approximately 4 PM. His brother said he spoke with him later by phone and William mentioned that he was at January Wabash Park. Anyone who may see William or has information please call 911 or our Public Information Officer at 314-978-9606 with information.

Your FPD, Ferguson Fire Department and EMS crews are responding to an accident in the 3100 Block of Pershall at Ferguson Metro Plaza. A vehicle crashed into one of the storefront businesses. The female driver and one person in the business have minor injuries. There is no substantial structural damage noted at this time. Please use caution the area.

Please see the following statement from Chief Doyle on the death of resident Gerry Noll. The entire Ferguson Police Department sends our deepest condolences to Gerry’s family and the Ferguson community:

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Gerry Noll, a valued member of our Ferguson Civilian Review Board and a true friend to this community.

Gerry gave his time and his heart to the work of building trust between our police department and the people we serve. That work is not easy, and it is not always recognized. He showed up for it anyway, with patience, honesty, and a genuine care for Ferguson and its future.

The kind words being shared across this community say it all. Gerry was a decent man, a faithful servant, and a true treasure of Ferguson. He will be deeply missed.

On behalf of the entire Ferguson Police Department, my thoughts and prayers are with Gerry’s family, his friends, and all who were fortunate to know him.

Rest easy, Gerry. Your service to this community will not be forgotten.

The BackStoppers family is deeply saddened by the passing of Steve Holley. Steve was more than a steadfast supporter of our mission; he was a visionary leader whose dedication and commitment helped shape the extraordinary impact Guns 'N Hoses made on our organization.

Steve was the only remaining founding father of the first Guns ‘N Hoses. He faithfully served alongside Guns ‘N Hoses legends, his father, Bo Holley, Jerry Clinton and Jack Martorelli. When it was his time to carry the torch, he led with charisma, passion and the steadfast objective of achieving the highest amount of support for families of fallen and catastrophically injured heroes.

Steve’s commitment to our families and the first responder community will never be forgotten. His work of creating the St. Louis’ marquee Thanksgiving Eve event and our largest fundraiser will continue. His legacy will be a part of BackStoppers forever.
