Town facilities will be closed on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.

Facility schedules during the holiday:
🔹 Viney Jones Library & Community Center – Open June 18; Closed June 19
🔹Senior Center – Closed June 18; Reopens June 19
🔹 Aquatic Center – Open June 18 and June 19

🗑 ♻️ Trash and recycling services will not be impacted.

☎️ To report a water, sewer, or streets emergency during the closure, please call the Police Non-Emergency Line at (520) 868-7681, option 2.

⚠️ Update: Felix Road Closure at Arizona Farms Road

Due to unforeseen issues encountered during today’s roadway improvement work, the Felix Road closure at Arizona Farms Road has been extended until 8:00 p.m. today, Thursday, June 11.

Crews are scheduled to complete the project this evening, and the roadway will fully reopen at 8:00 p.m.

Arizona Farms Road remains open to through traffic. Drivers on Felix Road should continue to follow posted detour signage and allow extra travel time.

Thank you for your patience as these roadway improvements are completed.

This year, parents simply choose the lesson time that works best for their family's schedule. On the first day of lessons, each participant will complete a swim assessment and be placed into the appropriate skill level by our instructors.

🏀 Thank You for a Great Youth Basketball Camp!

The Town of Florence would like to extend a huge thank you to the Florence High School basketball coaches and athletes for volunteering their time, sharing their knowledge, and leading our young athletes through skill-building drills and proper basketball techniques throughout camp. Your dedication helped create a fun and positive learning experience for all participants.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Florence Copper for their generous donation, which helped make this camp possible. Community partnerships like these provide valuable opportunities for our youth to learn, grow, and stay active.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this year's Youth Basketball Camp. We look forward to seeing these young athletes continue to develop their skills both on and off the court!
