Barnes Road in Hidden Valley is closed from Deer Trail to Warren due to flooding. There is no estimated time for reopening.

Maricopa County in south central Arizona...
Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 845 PM MST.

* At 753 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Maricopa, or
20 miles southwest of Sun Lakes, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Maricopa, Estrella Sailport, Mobile, and Ak-Chin Village.

This includes the following highways...
AZ Route 238 between mile markers 19 and 44.
AZ Route 347 between mile markers 163 and 178.


Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

* Until 530 PM MST.

* At 451 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Avra Valley,
moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Marana, Avra Valley, Pinal Airpark, Picacho Peak State Park and Red
Rock.

This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 219 and 236.


Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.

Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek
shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.

roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Catalina, Oro Valley, Saddlebrooke, Saddlebrooke Ranch, Oracle
Junction and Biosphere 2.

This includes the following highways...
Route 79 between mile markers 92 and 102. Route 77 between mile
markers 85 and 97.

From ADOT- SR 79 will be narrowed to one lane (in one-mile increments) between mileposts 140 and 148 each day from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, through the end of September.
