✈️ Airplane Arms to the Rescue! ✈️

Our preschool students in Miss Day’s class had a great time practicing their balance on the balance beam! They learned that holding out their “airplane arms” can help them stay steady as they make their way across.

They did such a great job trying, balancing, and cheering each other on! 💙🚀

We’re putting our best faces forward for a new school year! 🎨🚀

Our art teacher had our staff get creative and draw their own faces for this fun back-to-school bulletin board! We love seeing everyone’s personalities come through—and we’re pretty impressed with the artistic talents of our staff! 😂

A fun reminder that behind every classroom, every lesson, and every student is a team of people who are excited to be here and ready for a great year at Blue Ridge! 💙

Another student from Mrs. Carter’s kindergarten class is officially a Letter Expert! 🎉

That means they know ALL of their letters and sounds—a huge milestone on the path to becoming readers. 📚✨

Our goal is for every kindergartner to be a Letter Expert by Fall Break, and families are highly encouraged to help at home too!

Ideas to try at home:

🔤 Play “I Spy” with letters on signs, boxes, and labels.
🧩 Match uppercase and lowercase letters using flashcards or magnets.
✏️ Practice writing their name and circling the letters they recognize.
🎨 Make letters out of Play-Doh, pipe cleaners, or blocks.
📖 Read together daily, pointing out letters and sounds as you go.

🛹 Our first day of Skateboard Club was a success! 🛹

Our Rockets had a blast learning new skills, building confidence, and, most importantly, having fun on their boards! We can’t wait to see how much they grow throughout the club. 💙💛
