This event is free for all Garrett County Public School students and families.

☀️ 🛝The end of the year is always busy, and the past few weeks have been no exception. Last Friday was Field Day, which included a dunk tank, a slip-n-slide, various relays, popsicles, and our First Annual Staff vs. 4th & 5th Graders Kickball Game!

Thank you to Mrs. Paul for all of your hard work!! A big thank-you also goes to our Watch DOGS, who volunteered to supervise games and have fun with our students. We have LOVED having you all here with us throughout the year. 💛💙🦅

Today, we announced the winners of our "Pie in the Sky" Attendance competition.

Since April 20, The Perfect Presenters (Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th grade), led by Mrs. Ratliff, have competed against The Attendance All-Stars (1st grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade), led by Mrs. Chapman, to see who can achieve the highest attendance percentage. The Attendance All-Starts won by three-tenths of a percent!!!

The two students who have achieved perfect attendance for the year, Blake Burk and Hadley Carr, were given the honor of pie-ing the losing team's captain, Mrs. Ratliff.

Join us as we celebrate history at Friendsville Elementary! 🇺🇸🦅

On Wednesday, May 27, at 2:00 PM, Friendsville Elementary families and community members are invited to gather outside in front of the school for a special Time Capsule Opening Event.

Originally buried in 1976 to celebrate America’s Bicentennial, the capsule was first opened again in 2001 and will now be reopened in honor of America’s upcoming 250th birthday celebration. This unique event is an exciting opportunity to reflect on our community’s history and celebrate the memories and milestones preserved through generations.

We hope you’ll join us for this memorable celebration!
