🌟 Street Sweeping Announcement! 🌟
Just a quick heads-up that we've got some street sweeping action scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2026 for the Town of Friendsville. 🚛 To make sure our streets get clean; we kindly ask that you park your vehicles off the streets from 7:00 a.m. to early evening on that day.

We know it's a bit of a annoyance, but it really helps our crews do their job efficiently and keep our neighborhood looking great!

Budget Hearing
O-2026-01 Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Ordinance

The Mayor and Town Council of Friendsville hereby give notice that a public hearing will be held on the 28th day of May 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall located at 945 Community Drive, Friendsville, MD. The purpose of the public hearing will be to hear public comments regarding the proposed budget for the Fiscal Year 2027. A fair summary of the Ordinance is as follows:

Ordinance O-2026-01 Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Ordinance

AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF FRIENDSVILLE SETTING FORTH THE GUIDELINES FOR THE PROPOSED BUDGET AND SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR THE UPCOMING FISCAL YEAR. THE FOLLOWING SHOWS THE BALANCED PROJECTED TOTALS:

General Receipts/Expenditures $ 392,000.00
Grant Receipts/Expenditures $ .00
Total Receipts/Expenditures $ 392,000.00

The proposed budget keeps constant the real estate property tax rate at $.41 per $100 assessed valuation: The Personal Property Tax at $.50 per $100 assessed valuation: and $1.64 of the assessed valuation on all Certification of Public Utility Taxes for Fiscal Year 2027.

The Ordinance, in its entirety, is available for review at the Town Hall during regular business hours. Efforts will be made to accommodate the disabled and non-English speaking residents with five days’ notice to Wanda Guard, Town Clerk at 301-746-5919.
