Congratulation to Sgt. Brad Less who recently received a letter of commendation from the United States Coast Guard (USCG) for his performance of duty in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Michael. On October 10, 2018, Hurricane Michael made landfall on the Florida Panhandle as a Category 4 storm, causing nearly $10 billion in damages. Sgt. Less, who also serves as a Special Agent in the Coast Guard, provided needed protection for unarmed USCG teams entering the area for rescue and recovery efforts. While in the affected area, Sgt. Less helped clear roads, assisted citizens in need, delivered food and water, and performed welfare checks on unaccounted for members of the USCG. Most noteworthy was his response to a local nursing home where he assisted with the evacuation of 140 elderly, sick and disabled persons. His exceptional professionalism and dedication set the example for all CGIS personnel.
Congratulations again Sgt. Less and job well done!
