It’s starting to feel like football season here in Northeastern Wisconsin!

It was great joining the Green Bay Packers and fellow elected officials today on a tour of Lambeau Field and hearing about the amazing asset they are to our community. Thank you to the Packers Organization for being a great community partner and for everything you do investing in Brown County.

The season can’t start soon enough! GO PACK GO!

Make sure to stop by the Brown County Fairgrounds and experience one of the best fairs in Northeastern Wisconsin!

We had fun doing our own judging in the cattle, poultry, and rabbit barns today! There’s so much to see and do, and it’s truly one of the most family-friendly events Brown County has to offer.

Come out, enjoy the fair, and support our amazing local exhibitors!

Thank you to Brown County Parks for all your hard work on this event!

Yesterday I was able to attend an event where Brown County officially signed the lease agreement to relocate the downtown coal piles to the mouth of the Fox River, a major milestone for the future of our community.

This project will move coal and salt operations to a more suitable industrial location, opening the door for future redevelopment of the downtown riverfront while strengthening the Port of Green Bay and supporting continued substantial economic growth.

Thank you to our state elected officials, the County Executive, my fellow Brown County Supervisors, C. Reiss, and everyone who worked together to make this project a reality. I’m proud to have supported this effort and to be part of moving Brown County forward.

Big projects like this take teamwork, yesterday was a great day for Brown County!

My thoughts on data centers in Brown County…

Over the past several weeks, I have heard from many constituents (in an amazingly bipartisan fashion) across Brown County regarding the possibility of large-scale data center development in our community. Their concerns have been clear and consistent, particularly as the Planning, Development and Transportation Committee considers a potential moratorium on data centers.

My position is straightforward: I do not support the unchecked development of large data centers on Brown County farmland. Our agricultural land is one of our county’s greatest assets, and any proposal that could significantly alter our landscape deserves careful review and public scrutiny. Additionally, I do not support taxpayer-funded subsidies for large data center developments. Government should be cautious about providing special incentives that shift costs onto residents and local taxpayers.

I am a strong supporter of economic development, private investment, job creation, and expanding our tax base. Brown County should remain open for business and welcome responsible growth. However, economic development must also be balanced with protecting the interests and well being of current residents and taxpayers.

There are legitimate questions that need to be answered regarding the long-term impacts of large data centers, including their demands on energy infrastructure, potential effects on utility costs, water usage, and the overall impact on local communities. Before moving forward with projects of this scale, we owe it to residents to fully understand these implications.

For that reason, I will likely support a temporary option that would provide Brown County and local municipalities the time necessary to gather information, evaluate potential impacts, and determine the best path forward. I also want the public to understand that the county’s authority is limited to implementing a temporary moratorium; any such action would be intended solely to allow for a thoughtful and informed review process.

My commitment is to protect Brown County’s farmland, safeguard taxpayers, and ensure that any major development proposal is evaluated carefully and transparently. I will continue listening to residents and advocating for policies that put the long-term interests of our communities first.

Thank you to those who gave their lives for freedom. We are forever grateful and thankful for you! God Bless America! 🇺🇸
