Talk about a full-circle moment! 🏈💚

Skyler first connected with Big Brothers Big Sisters at our Big Draft Airstream during the NFL Draft in Green Bay. He learned more about becoming a mentor and our need for volunteers, especially Big Brothers, and picked up one of our football giveaways.

Skyler later took the next step and became a Big. Now, Big Brother Skyler and Little Brother Bex have been matched for nearly one year, and Skyler recently had Bex autograph that same football!

A BIG thank you to Belmark inc for supporting our mission through its annual golf outing last month! 💚

This year’s event raised a record-breaking total of more than $244,000, with half of the funds benefiting BBBSNEW and half benefiting Counting Stars!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the outing and helped make it possible. Special thanks to BBBSNEW Board member Kim Vachon for everything she did to make the event a success!

Wednesdays are extra sweet thanks to Sara's Artisan Gelato! 💚💜

Every Wednesday, Sara’s Artisan Gelato donates a portion of proceeds to support BBBSNEW mentoring programs.

They also generously treat our Bigs and Littles to free gelato, giving matches a fun way to spend time together during a Wednesday outing!

Big Sister Mara and Little Sister Zionist recently stopped by and enjoyed a sweet treat together.

Sara’s Artisan Gelato is open from 12–9 p.m. today, so stop in for a scoop and support local mentoring!

Yay, it’s New Match Monday! 💚 Meet Big Sister Chloe and Little Sister Ava! 🎉

They’re so excited to be matched! For one of their outings, they headed to the park to play and spend some time together. It was a fun chance for them to get to know each other and start making memories together. 😊

We’re so excited to see their friendship grow!

Something BIG is taking shape at BBBSNEW! ✨

This fall, we’re opening a Mentoring Center in downtown Green Bay, creating a dedicated space to support kids waiting for a Big, give current matches a place to connect and create new ways for our community to get involved.

Right now, more than 100 kids across Northeast Wisconsin are waiting to be matched with a mentor, with most waiting six months or longer. The Mentoring Center will give us more ways to keep kids connected and engaged while they wait through activities, group programming and other opportunities.

The space will give Bigs and Littles a welcoming place to spend time together and continue building their relationships, with dedicated areas for learning and hands-on experiences, such as a library and STEM room.

The Mentoring Center will also create new opportunities for businesses, community partners and volunteers to get involved and support local youth.

Construction is underway now, with a planned grand opening in November. 💚 We’ll be sharing updates along the way as the space continues to take shape, so stay tuned!

Meet our September Match of the Month: Big Couple Deb & Scott and Little Sister Saphira! 💚

Deb, Scott and Saphira have been matched for three years and have made so many great memories together, from art projects and library trips to museums, picnics, Bay Beach and more.

For Saphira, having Deb and Scott in her life means having people she can count on.

“They help me through tough times and are there whenever I need them,” Saphira shared.

That’s what mentoring is all about: spending time together, making memories and having someone you can count on.

Our Annual Match Celebration brought our matches together at Green Bay Botanical Garden for an evening of connection, celebration and fun. 💚

Matches kicked things off with “Find a Match Who…” Bingo, giving Bigs and Littles a chance to meet other matches and make new connections along the way.

We also celebrated our Littles who recently graduated from high school, recognized our Matches of the Year and enjoyed dinner, games, a scavenger hunt and time together.

It was a special evening celebrating the mentoring relationships at the heart of our mission and the moments, big and small, that make them so meaningful.

A BIG thank you to Green Bay Packers Give Back (Packers Outreach), Fox Communities Credit Union and the Cornerstone Foundation of Northeastern Wisconsin for helping make the evening possible.

And thank you to all of our Bigs and Littles who joined us!

A BIG thank you to the students from St. Norbert College who spent part of their Week of Welcome giving back with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin! 💚

These volunteers helped us tackle a variety of projects around our office and gave their time and energy to support our team and our mission.
