Upper Perk Dems We are the elected officials, committee members, and volunteers working together to promote Democratic values throughout the Upper Perkiomen Valley and beyond.

We are the official page of the Upper Perkiomen Democrats, sharing election information, spreading democratic values, and working together for a brighter, more equal future for the Upper Perkiomen Valley and beyond. We support leaders who fight for equality, justice, and opportunity for all. We believe that democracy is worth defending, the economy should work for everyone, it's our job to care fo

r our planet, health care is a right, and that our diversity is our strength. We’re working to create a better future for all members of all generations - regardless of their gender, race, religion, or economic status. We back Democratic candidates to represent these values at all levels of government, and work with our fellow residents of the Upper Perkiomen Valley to get these candidates elected. Today commemorates June 19, 1865, when news of freedom finally reached enslaved people in Texas. It is a day to honor freedom, reflect on our history, and celebrate the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans.

As many people in our community have heard, a proposal for a data center has been submitted in Upper Hanover Township on property located just beyond Blommer's Chocolates.

The application was submitted only hours before the Township adopted its new data center ordinance. As a result, the proposal is being reviewed under the regulations that were in place at the time of submission rather than under the new ordinance's location and operational requirements.

The proposal has generated significant community interest and concern, with residents from across the political spectrum expressing opposition and raising questions about its potential impacts.

Monday, June 15, at 7:00 PM at St. Philip Neri Hall, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg.

NO KINGS has decided to keep its June 14 event as a watch party only, and that's okay.

Here in Upper Perk, our style is action.

The Upper Perk Democrats will be hosting our own independently organized, parallel event on June 14: a peaceful protest from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as we stand up for free speech, democracy, and the constitutional rights of all Americans.

After the protest, you'll still have plenty of time to head home, get comfortable, and enjoy the evening's concert or any other events planned for the day.

Join us as we make our voices heard and exercise our First Amendment rights peacefully and respectfully.

While The Committee for the First Amendment with NO KINGS is hosting Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment at 7:30 PM, here in Upper Perk our style is action.

Rather than hosting a watch party, we're taking to the streets and exercising our First Amendment rights with a peaceful protest. Then you can head home, get comfortable in your pajamas, and enjoy the concert online that evening!

Whether you join us for the protest, the concert, or both, June 14 is a great opportunity to stand up, speak out, and make your voice heard.
