Upper Perk Dems

Upper Perk Dems We are the elected officials, committee members, and volunteers working together to promote Democratic values throughout the Upper Perkiomen Valley and beyond.

We are the official page of the Upper Perkiomen Democrats, sharing election information, spreading democratic values, and working together for a brighter, more equal future for the Upper Perkiomen Valley and beyond. We support leaders who fight for equality, justice, and opportunity for all. We believe that democracy is worth defending, the economy should work for everyone, it's our job to care fo

r our planet, health care is a right, and that our diversity is our strength. We’re working to create a better future for all members of all generations - regardless of their gender, race, religion, or economic status. We back Democratic candidates to represent these values at all levels of government, and work with our fellow residents of the Upper Perkiomen Valley to get these candidates elected. Paid for by Upper Perk Democrats - Area 2.

Congratulations to Meriam Sabih on winning the primary election and advancing to the general election for State Representative, where she will face MAGA darling, Milou Mackenzie. This is an important race, and we are excited to support Meriam as she works to bring strong leadership and real representation to our community.
Please consider supporting Meriam by attending her fundraiser on May 28th. Every bit of support helps build the momentum needed for November!

Congratulations to Chris Thomas on winning the primary election and advancing to the general election to take on Senator Pennycuick for State Senate!

This is an incredibly important race and could be the key to flipping the Pennsylvania State Senate. The outcome of this election could have a major impact on issues that matter to all of us, including properly funding our public schools, protecting reproductive rights, defending democracy, and moving Pennsylvania forward.

Now the real work begins. Let’s rally behind Chris and do everything we can to help win this seat in November!

The Upper Perk Dems want to thank everyone who participated in yesterday’s election. From the poll workers and poll watchers, to the volunteers outside the polls, to everyone who donated food and, of course, everyone who voted, thank you!

All donations will be going to Open Link. We do not have the final weight of the food donations yet, but you all did an amazing job, especially for a primary election.

Thank you for showing up for our community and for helping neighbors in need!

We are grateful to every candidate who stepped up to run this cycle. Putting your name on the ballot and engaging in the democratic process is no small thing, and we are thankful for your commitment to our communities.

And finally, congratulations and thank you to all of our newly elected Committee People — the heart of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee. You are the organizers, neighbors, volunteers, and community leaders who keep this party connected to the people we serve every single day.

We especially want to recognize the nominees who came through contested primaries and will now carry the fight forward into November: Bob Harvie and Senator Art Haywood.

Primaries can be competitive, passionate, and exhausting — but what matters most today is that we move forward together.

And none of this happens without volunteers.

Thank you to everyone who knocked doors, made phone calls, wrote postcards, assembled signs, staffed events, worked the polls, volunteered at campaign offices, helped neighbors get to the polls, talked to friends and family, and gave their time to protect our democracy.

This movement is powered by people who choose to show up.

Take a minute to catch your breath. Celebrate the wins. Get some rest.

Then let’s get right back at it.

Because the bigger battle is ahead of us, and November will require all of us working together to protect the progress we’ve made and continue moving Montgomery County — and Pennsylvania — forward.

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get involved, this is it.

Whether you can volunteer once a week, once a month, or just help when you can, we need you on the team.

Let’s keep building together.
