We will be conducting training operations at three structures located on Massillon Road near Burgess Drive over the next several weeks.

Residents in the area may notice emergency vehicles, fire personnel, and increased activity as crews conduct hands-on training exercises. These evolutions are an important part of maintaining readiness and ensuring our personnel remain prepared to serve the community safely and effectively.

This is a training activity only, and there is no emergency situation associated with these operations. Thank you.

This week is EMS week. We would like to recognize our EMS bureau under the direction of Dr. Ross Campensa and Lt. Matt White as well as all of our dedicated personnel for their service to the citizens of Green. It's also a time to reflect on the work of all of those who came before us here at Green Fire that helped make us who we are today.

We also recognize all of the hospital personnel, educators, administrators, and other local fire department and EMS companies. Thank you!

Congratulations to Lieutenant Randy Porter on his retirement from the Green Fire Department!

Randy began his career as a Firemedic in August of 2001 and was promoted to Lieutenant in April of 2015. In April of 2017 he stepped up to lead the EMS office, taking on a lot of responsibility behind the scenes of the department.

We will miss you here at the firehouse but are grateful for the work put in to enhance the EMS service we provide to the citizens of Green and everyone here at Green Fire.

As he has completed his last shift, please join us in congratulating Randy on his retirement and wishing him the very best as he begins a new chapter in his life. Enjoy retirement, get some well-earned rest, and don’t be a stranger around the station!
